Aberdeen is a smallish Rim planet with a large water content and dramatic granite expanses. Named for its resemblance to Scotland of Earth-that-was, the planet attracted Scottish descended people to colonize it. Scottish dialect and traditions have flourished. Its primary industries include granite mining, water reclamation, fishing, oil and natural gas drilling. Aberdeen's main continent is home to vast forest called Birnam Wood (from MacBeth). Perched on the edge of Birnam Wood on the coast is Inverness, the main starport of Aberdeen.
