Marian was an actress in Community Theatre. Sure, she had a way to earn money - mostly as a bike messenger/courier. She still manages the acting, but now riding a bike can overheat her too quickly, so she's doing anything else she can find where she can keep cool.

She's not sure exactly how she got her power, but does know that it happened on the coldest day of the year, while she was biking through traffic. One moment, the wind was cutting through her meager jacket, the next moment the jacket started feeling warm to her.
