Most soldiers entering the military of Amber already have some military training in the realms of their origin. Even those born in Amber have had some amount of military exposure by the time they formally enroll in military service. Many households and families pride themselves on their member's service. Golden Circle kingdoms frequently send their soldiers to Amber for service in the hopes that when they return they will fill native officer corps.

- Weapon Training-Mixed Sword Age Weaponry: Sword, Axe, Spear, Bow, Crossbow, Spear, Pike.
- Basic Animal Care and Use: Horse, Mule
- Solider Rights, Ranks, and obligations.
Basic training-Phase Two-12 Weeks
- Cavalry Skills and tactics. Horsemanship
- History of Amber and Shadow kingdoms.
