Some two hours later the Survivors and their extended group settle for the night at Arthur's father's apartment building, waiting for the Press Conference near the Lincoln Memorial the next day. Questions pummel the Survivor panel and Brian takes most of them with grace. Only Arthur and Jack would surprise the world with blunt statements (Arthur) and undecernable language (Jack). The group is greeted off the stage by NTAC, a new branch of Homeland Security assigned to the passengers of AA Flight 283. To paraphrase a poem for this issue's theme... "The winter here is cold and bitter, chilled to the bone. Haven't seen the sun for weeks. To long - to far from home. Feel like I'm sinking and claw for solid ground. Pulled down by the undertow. So it's better this way, having seen this place before. Where everything we say and do, hurts us all the more. Its just that we stayed away, too long. Pulled down by the undertow. Never thought I could feel so low. Oh darkness I feel like letting go. With all of my strength and all of my courage, come and lift me from this place... Full of grace. Full of grace."
