The thirty or so gunmen who had joined the company while it traveled the Jeweled Road brought the fighting strength of professional gunmen to around forty. What had been nine men and three women was now just under two hundred souls, all equals in the company and signatures of the company's charter. Not all were professional shootists but each knew well how the game was played; You shoot or you load.
