This Data-Slate provides general information on the Hives and the various factions within, as well as other information that might be useful to the Heretics. Information about the Hives is provided on the Main Page.

Factions[edit]

Forces of the Imperium[edit]

Enforcers: Enforcers are the planet's police force, created due to the weak presence of Arbiters on the world, as well as the surplus of Imperial Guardsmen produced. The Enforcers patrol all the Hives, ensuring that the gangs' influences do not spread uncontrolled. Enforcers are usually equipped with elements of the standard Guard equipments: Guard flak armor, las guns and pistols, and shock mauls. A limited number of assault shotguns have been produced and were given to some of the most senior members of the Enforcers. The Enforcers work in concert with the PDF forces of the planet to police the planet, though there is a distinct dislike of the PDF in the Enforcers.

PDF: While the Enforcers are the common police force on the planet, the Planetary Defense Force serves not only as the overall protectors of the planet, but also as the guards of the more important sections of the Hives, specifically the top layers of the Hives. There is a well known rivalry/hate between the two forces, mostly due to the composition of both sides. While the Enforcers are made up of the common man, the PDF tends to be made up of those from privilege, the nobles and other rich families. Their training is noticeably better but their manpower is less than the Enforcers. This has brewed quite the rivalry between the two forces.

Gangs[edit]

While there are numerous gangs, nearly as many as there are beings in the warp, I will only be putting down the gangs which concern your work.

Calister's Iron Manacles Calister's Iron Manacles are the largest gang on this planet and, as such, deal in nearly all illicit substances, with crimes ranging from pick-pocketing to arms smuggling, to murder and robbery. They have holdings in all the Hives, though their main hold is apparently in the Below Hive, though there is not much information that I was able to gather on their location beyond that. All of the gangers have iron manacles on their wrists, as the name says, and they are run by a man named Calister, though the name is most likely a title. Enforcer and PDF sources did not know much about them besides this. Pitiful.

Acidics The Acidics can be considered the second largest gang on Karnja and, like the Iron Manacles, their main holding seems to be in the Below Hive. Unlike the Iron Manacles, the Enforcers and PDF possess more information, leading to my possession of the knowledge. The Acidics are drug makers, dealers and users. They have a large part of the drug need in the Hives under their control. Since the majority of the working class on Karnja works in factories in cycles, the Acidics find a large part of their business giving the workers whatever they need, drug wise. All of Acidics have acid burns on their faces, as well as signs of heavy drug use.

Between the Acidics and the Iron Manacles, the rest of the gangs are either allied between the two or too insignificant to even notice. Except for one, which the Great Changer demands I put down.

Caries Imperator This gang, little more than a band of priest hating criminals, is what the Great Changer demands I inform you of. I can not begin to fathom the plans of the Great Changer. The name of the gang is High Gothic for Corruption of the Emperor, something that they believe the priests to do. The gang is new, with the entirety of the gang being made up of the original founders. The leader is a young man called Kain, a native born Karnjan who was raised by the priests but was thrown out once he was of no more use to them, a common story. What is not common is that after that information, the rest is hidden by a foreboding mark. The mark of the Inquisition. Whoever Kain is, he is a unique figure.

Heretecks[edit]

Two Space Marines, touched and held by chaos, that is what will be sent. It is clear that they may need the services of those skilled in the way of the Machine. I have found two skilled Dark Mechanicus that can be of use.

Darogs[edit]

Darogs is ancient, even by the standards of Tech Priests. In a way, he has become much like a myth that is all to real. The man is more machine than organic, a mass of metal and tubes that is, in many ways, everywhere in Hive Galeon. Servo-Skulls are sometimes seen all over the Below and Under Hive, with whispers being said that a dread being looks through the empty eyes of the skulls. Much of these skulls are commonly seen near and in the territory possessed by the Iron Manacles. The location of Darogs is unknown, though if the Heretics manage to find them, they may well find something that feels itself worthy of worship.

Micro Magos Recenil[edit]

Recenil is, or rather, was a part of a unique sect of the Mechanicus that worships the "Micro Omnissiah". In short, the woman worships small machines. They see something in the smallest of machines and can make a smaller device than what is in front of her then she believes that she is pleasing her god. What utter drivel. The good news is that this woman from a small sect is on Karnja, having been found to have been using non-STC designs to do her work by the Rogue Trader that makes his port of call here, and a Ad-Mech ship is in route, though it will be quite some time before they reach Karnja. The bad news is that she is being kept in Spaceport Derlan, guarded by the Rogue Trader's men. The interesting news is that she still believes she serves her god, and the more pure and beautiful something is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it.
