SOCIAL

Virtues

  • Major: Wonder

Silver has been alive for less than a decade, and the world is still a great, wide, beautiful place full of undiscovered possibilities. Like a child, Swiftly's life is defined by trial and error, by exploration and discovery, of asking an incredible amount of questions to see how the world really works.

  • Minor: Loyalty (The Iron Isle Circle)

Creation is the only home Swiftly's ever known, the Iron Isle is where she was born and raised, and the other alchemical champions her family. She has no loyalty to Autocthonia or to any greater nation, only to the community she's known all her life.

Intimacies

  • Major: "Discover my identity and purpose" (Principle) [Wonder]
  • Minor: Marama Peleps Kaimana (Tie) [Loyalty]
  • Minor: "Learn More About My Previous Self" (Principle) [Wonder]

EXALT

Moonsilver Alchemical

Exalt Milestone: Gained by infiltrating a secure location or discovering a significant enemy secret. Can also be gained via the Rite of Reconfiguration (see below).

  • Living Artefact

You are a machine - as much an artefact as a living person. You can hold an artefact to install one of its Evocations as your own Charm during the Rite of Reconfiguration (you must meet its prerequisites). Once installed, you can use the Evocation as if it were an innate Charm, without needing access to the artefact itself. You may only have one such Evocation at a time, but can swap between existing ones during Reconfiguration.

CURRENTLY INSTALLED
* Great Moonsilver Stride (Arms of the Elegant Kraken)
  • Community Spirit

You form bonds with communities that will accept you, and to whose purpose you can lend your strength! Swiftly has yet to formally decide who her community is

Resonances: Moonsilver

ANIMA EFFECTS

  • Ephemeral Moon (Passive)

Swiftly can can sneak past Extras without a roll. Non-trivial characters who might catch them have to make a Force + Integrity roll at Difficulty 3 in order to remember what they saw.

  • Quicksilver (Active)

Swiftly gains their Essence in automatic successes to ambush attacks or attacks from concealment, and any attack actions she takes when acting before an enemy.

  • Strike Twice (Iconic)

Silver spends 5 Anima to act again during the same round, whether that’s taking social actions, stealth, attacking, etc. This is a full new turn, in which she may take two more actions.

The Rite of Reconfiguration

An Alchemical's Universal and Alchemical Charms take physical form as pieces of god-machinery installed in her body. When purchasing a new Charm, the player may opt into the Rite: a ritual in which her community assists in the installation of a new power. When you chose to engage with the Rite, this counts towards an Exalt Milestone. If you have learnt an Evocation through Living Artefact, you must undertake the Rite to swap it (you may still learn Evocations normally).

Removed Charms sublimate into the Alchemical's Essence. You can manifestant any you have removed in a blaze of anima if you wish to reinstall them. With access to at least two of the following, you can spend a dramatic or recovery scene to retrofit your Alchemical body, equipping augmentations and replacements:

  • Ritual space and magical infrastructure, consecrated by your community.
  • Trained attendants, accustomed to the Rite's prayers.
  • A friend, ally or confidante to whom you have an emotional connection (Intimacy).
  • Sacred reagents, carefully prepared for you specifically.

The Great Curse

Incitement

  • Someone acts against her Major Intimacy.
  • She acts against her Major Virtue.
  • A community she has an Intimacy toward is threatened, ignores her advice or openly disdains her help.

When Swiftly succumbs to the curse, she switches to a Crisis Behaviour which lasts for the indicated length.

Crisis Behaviour (pg.88-89)

  • Universal Threat Detection (Scene)

MERITS

  • Artefact (Primary)

Charms and Artefacts: This set of hook-bladed Moonsilver chains linked to four silver cuffs to be worn on wrists and ankles is looks it was meant for a dancer, for a warrior, for a Lunar. Double so when the chains come to life as mighty tendrils that lash out on their own and carry the user like the legs of a great beast. This is exactly the case, as it turns out, since Silently Forged Servant plucked the Arms of the Elegant Kraken from a Lunar warrior who tried to fight the invasion of Autocthonia on the Iron Isle.

  • Followers (Secondary)

Being the most recently forged Alchemical of the group, Swiftly is well-acquainted with all of the artificers, engineers, and craftspeople of the Iron Isle, and friendly enough that they'll often be willing to do favors for her.

  • Rethea Zuran (Tertiary)

A recent Beastfolk Émigré from Leviathan's kingdom, Rethea is about as wondrously new to the surface world as Swiftly, and even less familiar with the Iron Isle. Swiftly helped show him around the Isle, and they've been friends ever since.

EQUIPMENT

  • Arms of the Elegant Kraken (Integrated)
