Acidic Burst

School evocation [acid]; Level sorcerer/wizard 3
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Area 20-ft.-radius spread
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Reflex half; Spell Resistance yes

This spell works like fireball except that it creates a sudden burst of acidic vapors. All creatures and unattended objects in the area take 1d4 points of acid damage per caster level (maximum 10d4), plus an extra 1d4 the following two rounds. Creatures that make the saving throw take half damage from the initial burst and do not take any further damage.

Acidic Grease

School conjuration (creation) [acid]; Level sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a drop of acid)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Area one object or 10 ft. square
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw see text; Spell Resistance no

This functions like the grease spell except that the grease it creates is acidic. Any object or creature that begins a round in contact with the grease takes 1 point of acid damage. Any creature that is prone in the grease and any object coated with the grease takes 1d4 points of acid damage instead.

Break Ground

(Discussion Thread)

School evocation [earth]; Level sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a small piece of brittle stone)
Range personal (see text)
Effect see text
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw Reflex negates (see text); Spell Resistance yes (see text)

As a standard action, while this spell is in effect, you can point to a 5ft square at close range (40 ft. plus 5 ft./2 levels) and cause the earth there to shatter into jagged shards. The square becomes difficult terrain and any creature standing there must make a reflex save of fall prone. Spell resistance applies if there is a creature in that square. Every time you do this, the remaining duration of this spell goes down by 1 minute.

Call Earth

School conjuration [earth]; Level druid 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a pebble)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Area 10-ft.-radius burst
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw Reflex negates, see text; Spell Resistance no

This spell causes boulders to rise from the ground. Any creature standing in that area must make a reflex save or fall prone. The caster has two options when casting this spell. Either the boulders are small and the effected squares become difficult terrain for the spells duration, or the boulders are large enough to provide cover, blocking some squares (about 25%) but not creating difficult terrain in the others.

Ground

School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a chip of lodestone)
Range long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Target 1 creature per level, no two of which may be more than 30 ft. apart
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Fortitude negates; Spell Resistance yes

This spell causes great difficulty for flying creatures. The subjects of the spell fall 10 ft. each round and cannot gain altitude. This does not cause falling damage if they reach the ground.

Solidify

(Discussion Thread)

School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 0
Casting Time 1 round
Components V, S
Range touch
Target 1 dirt, mud or clay object, up to 1 cubic foot
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Will negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)

This spell causes a small object made of packed dirt, dense mud or clay to solidify into stone. The stone is similar to what you'd get from sun-drying or baking the object, but never anything of value (more like earthenware than fine china). The resulting object retains a moderate amount of detail, but cannot hold an edge.

This spell cannot be used on a creature composed of dirt, mud or clay, on any substance currently under the effect of any other spell or on part of a larger mass of dirt, mud or clay.

Stone Sense

School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 4
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 min./level

You gain tremorsense out to 30 feet for the duration of this spell.

Stone Thorns

School conjuration [earth]; Level Sorcerer/wizard 5
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a sharp thorn, quill or spine)
Range Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area 20-ft.-radius emanation
Duration 1 round/level (see text)
Saving Throw Reflex negates; Spell Resistance no

Sharp thorns of stone sprout in the area of this spell. Creatures in the area when this happens take 1d6 points of slashing damage per caster level (maximum 15d6). Creatures entering the effected area must make a reflex save or take 1d6 points of slashing damage. Any creature damaged by this spell has their movement reduced by 10 feet for 1 round per caster level.
