==Details==
Longarm is shorter than a full giant, and looks as if someone took a giant's head and limbs, then grafted them to a halfling torso. He wears a sleeveless leather jerkin on his body, and custom-made leather wraps for his arms and legs. He's surprisingly quick for his size, but has trouble with fine manipulation due to his oversized limbs.<br />

<br />

When not adventuring, Longarm prefers to wear robes or other garments that hide his torso and hips, so he appears to be a short giant.

===Background===

Longarm is the son of a halfling father and a giant mother. The couple considered adoption due to warnings from the village mystic that the product of their union would have physical challenges, but Longarm's mother wanted the experience of pregnancy. The parents worked hard with the village healers to overcome Longarm's health challenges as a child, and trained him extensively to learn to manage his awkward form. Eventually, he decided to follow the path of his father and became a warrior to protect the secluded village of hills and rivers where he grew up. His mother encouraged him to take a walkabout and see the world for a year before returning home.

===Personality===

Longarm is a big believer in independence and choice. He will take advice, but no one can force him down a path he doesn't want to travel. Living in the village of Hillhollow, he lacks a sense of urgency that others do, and often takes additional time to consider his next course of action. If an urgent decision needs to be made, it must be time for a discussion during afternoon tea.

===Background Questions===
+
===Background===
'''''Who taught you to fight, and why did they stay behind when you left home?'''''<br />
+
*Question 1
''My father is a former adventurer and a current Capp in the Hillwatch, the closest thing Hillhollow has to a military force. He taught me everything I know about formal combat...while my mother taught me that combats are almost never formal. I probably would have stayed in Hillhollow had my mother not encouraged me to take a year or two and see the larger world before committing to the Hillwatch.''<br />

<br />
+
*Question 2
'''''Someone defeated you in battle years ago and left you to die. Who was it, and why did it feel like such a betrayal?'''''<br />
+
**Answer 2
''Um, it was a vicious battle, and I was definitely left to die...from a certain point of view. Grouse got frustrated during my 'growth spurt' and was tired of me accidentally knocking things over. When l tripped and broke his sled, he snapped and yelled at me in front of the whole town, calling me a freak of nature and said my parents should never have tried to have a child. Everyone heard - everyone. I was too surprised to defend myself, and I felt like he had stuck a dagger in my gut and left me to bleed out. For years, I had stuck up for Grouse when he was the person no one wanted on their stickball team, or when he was accused of putting gum in Marigold's hair. I would have forgiven him eventually, but he never gave me the chance. Grouse left Hillhollow to become an apprentice wizard while still a teenager, but the whispers about me lingered for years afterward.''<br />
+
*Question 3
<br />
+
**Answer 3
'''''What legendary place have you always wanted to visit, and why is it so special?'''''<br />

''My mother has told me stories about Stormwatch, the legendary city in the clouds populated by giants. It is said that those who live there long enough gain the ability to fly, and summon lightning to their hands.''
