[13:11] <~Anshu> The debate continues, but at last a consensus is reached to allow the Empress to speak to the Deliberative. A short recess is announced, so that the Empress can be brought from wherever she's being held, and people begin to drift out of the Deliberative Hall to the various lobbies and antechambers surrounding it to wait.

[13:12] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen found a place large enough to fit him while he waits

[13:12] <Brazen_Sand> ironically, a room for the summoning and questioning of demons

[13:17] <Shrike> Shrike heads in the direction of the snack area, selecting a small bowl of brightly colored fruit. The job of a Deliberator, she believes, doesn't require a lean and hungry look.

[13:17] <Brazen_Sand> The brass and stone summoning circles and gateways made him feel excluded, but he would deal with it.

[13:17] <Brazen_Sand> ...Until he got hungry

[13:17] * Nomoe_Hideaki drifts from one small gathering of Deliberators to the next with his usual grace. It's not immediately apparent from his seemingly random course, but he is moving toward Deliberator Ziyad Antarah.

[13:19] * Bright_Snow lands in a nearby manse. One she is aware is possessed by an old ally, shifting into her true form she straightens her stance, stretches and marches in to await her friend.

[13:22] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen felt a gurgle in what was an analog for his stomach and moved towards the smell of food. Politics was hungry work, and he felt like he needed to do something to shut the guilt up

[13:24] * Bright_Snow takes a seat, knowing she has purposely tripped at least two alarms and waits. Awaiting the arrival of the Manse's owner.

[13:24] <Brazen_Sand> His foot-falls could be heard and even felt throughout the massive building, growing stronger as he neared the room, ducking over the opening into the room. He found it laden with enough food for a thousand feasts.

[13:25] <Shrike> Brazen will find the redheaded Solar, Shrike, already there, casually leaning against a wall as she eat her fruit. And watching the door with a raised eyebrow as the stumping footsteps have warned her of approaching doom...for varying definitions of 'doom', of course.

[13:26] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen stomped over and picked up an entire roast oxen and started devouring it in his hands.

[13:27] <Shrike> That gets a chuckle from the redhead present. "Careful there. Wouldn't want your eyes to be bigger than your stomach."

[13:28] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen looked down in surprise and saw the redhaired member of the Grand Deliberative Circle smiling up at him. "Heh, that's not possible." He responded. "Brazen Sand." He added

[13:30] <Shrike> "Shrike of Swiftly Striking Talons. But just Shrike is fine. Well met, Deliberator Brazen. And congratulations." Shrike nods respectfully. "Although perhaps I should be offering condolences instead."

[13:30] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen leaned down and his eyes narrowed. "What do you mean, condolences?"

[13:31] <Shrike> "Well," Shrike waves a hand airly, not at all concerned by the massive being's narrowed, intense gaze, "you've been out kicking ass and taking names, right? And sticking it to The Man, as it were. Well, now -you're- The Man."

[13:32] <Brazen_Sand> "I've had some stints as teh Man myself. I was the Greenfire King of Gem, remember?"

[13:32] <Shrike> "Fair enough. Still, though, there are times I wish I could let somebody else handle my seat so I can actually have some fun."

[13:33] <Shrike> "Not that I'd walk out on responsibilty," she adds quickly, "but when you're listening to the third massive speech of the day, well..."

[13:33] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Having been born, raised and trained all his life for politics Nomoe does this with ease and charm, though his thoughts are with the absent Bright Snow. */I have to ask ... this enmity, how did it begin? How deep does it run? How far will they go?/*

[13:33] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen looked deep into her eyes, his triple-lobed gaze staring deep into her soul and thoughts, even though it only takes a second in reality

[13:35] <Nomoe_Hideaki> He would not normally pry into these matters Snow has been reluctant to speak about, but without knowing he cannot guess the risks and likely avenues of attack, nor be prepared to counter.

[13:37] <Bright_Snow> */ It is... complicated. Deep. Li has already made attempts to at the very least seriously injure me. While his mate may have grown up some, he is still himself and does not forget slights easily. /* She crosses her legs and begins to pull her hair back as she waits.

[13:38] <~Anshu> As is to be expected, Deliberator Antarah's attention is in high demand. Fortunately, Nomoe's is a rising star, and the crowd around the other Eclipse parts for him, if somewhat grudgingly.

[13:41] <Brazen_Sand> Shrike felt a connection between her and Brazen, as light shot from his eyes to hers and vice-versa. For a second they understood each other completely, but the connection faded as soon as it began.

[13:43] <Brazen_Sand> "Seems like you already have fun." Brazen said, surprisingly quietly. "Does Cerise know about you and Anshu...or the other way around?"

[13:43] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Smiling Nomoe greets the revered member of the Grand Circle. "Deliberator Antarah, splendid words just now. As always you are an inspiration to the rest of us." He inclines his head slightly, showing that he does mean the words.

[13:44] <Shrike> Shrike narrows her eyes at Brazen. "Next time," the Solar grows. "Just ask. I might even tell you."

[13:44] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen shrugged. "How could I ask? I don't know what I'll see."

[13:44] <Shrike> "And the answer is yes. You'd be adivsed not to ask further, though. Might not like answers." She smirks a bit, though.

[13:45] <Brazen_Sand> brazen took a big chomp out of the oxen's head, crushing bones in his teeth.

[13:45] <Brazen_Sand> "So anyway, this is the deliberative, huh? It's the like The Thing. Just less...yeah."

[13:46] <Brazen_Sand> "And you're one of the big jackals, eh? No offense. It's a Gem expression."

[13:46] <~Anshu> Ziyad turns. "Deliberator Nomoe," he says in greeting, bowing in return. "Thank you for the compliment. You are possessed of no small eloquence yourself."

[13:47] <Shrike> In a flash, the redhead's annoyance is gone, and she chuckles. "That's one way of describing it. I personally prefer to use 'hours of sheer boredom interspersed with moments of great amusement'.

[13:47] <Shrike> And I suppose you could say that, although I actually try to stay quiet and listen more than I speak. You learn more that way.

[13:47] <Shrike> ...well, -I- do. Not sure about -you-." She grins.

[13:48] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen crunched a skull. "I feel like I'm suffocating if I go too long without speaking or doing something." He said with complete sincerity.

[13:49] <Brazen_Sand> "But yeah, everything seemed pretty easy. Is this all there is? It's all pretty friendly."

[13:50] <Shrike> Shrike snorts good-naturedly. "Friendly? Well, if you describe a raksha trapped in a form with a toothache as friendly, then I guess it is..."

[13:50] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen tilted his head. "I don't follow."

[13:50] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Thank you," Nomoe bows. "This business with the Scarlet Empress, a difficult matter indeed," he then moves on from the diplomatic niceties. "Maybe it is indeed for the best to hear what she has to say for herself ..." He makes a small gesture of polite acquiescence - he was against hearing her out, but the Deliberative has spoken.

[13:50] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "With so many important topics for the Deliberative's consideration, I trust a certain point remains on the agenda for today nonetheless?"

[13:52] <Shrike> "What I mean is that we're -politicans-, Brazen Sand. The Deliberator who is your best friend today will slit your throat in defense of his position tomorrow."

[13:52] <Brazen_Sand> "My best friend is Hideaki-San. I'm not surprised. I jsut figured that the others would be different. You seem alright."

[13:52] <Shrike> "Thank you. I suppose that might be because for me it's just a hobby." She smirks.

[13:54] <Brazen_Sand> "Hrm. If it's a hobby, then why do you say it's so tedious?" He asked.

[13:55] <Shrike> "Ah, you caught that." Her smirk remains. "I guess I'm just strange that way. Sometimes I -enjoy- things that most might find unpleasant."

[13:56] <Brazen_Sand> "Oh really?" Brazen said smoothly, returning the smirk.

[13:56] <Nomoe_Hideaki> */I am not easily deterred by complexity./ sympathy /You don't have to tell me, but it would help./*

[13:57] <~Anshu> Ziyad nods. "Of course. Well, to be forthright, it may end up delayed until tomorrow depending on how things go with the Empress, but it will be addressed, and sooner rather than later; that I can promise."

[13:58] <Shrike> "Indeed," is Shrike's only answer, munching on another mouthful of fruit.

[13:59] <Brazen_Sand> "So can you point out anyone important here?" Brazen asked.

[14:00] <Brazen_Sand> He cleared his throat. "Anyone ELSE important here, I mean."

[14:00] <Shrike> Shrike is already raising her hand to point at Brazen as he makes his correction. "Oh. My bad," she chuckles. "Well, I suppose I could. But it might be more amusing to just let you find out."

[14:02] <~Anshu> Lily arrives at her manse. "Snow?" she calls softly, as she begins to walk through the rooms.

[14:04] <Bright_Snow> "In here. Glad you haven't updated you manse protection in eight years." She finishes tying her hair back.

[14:05] <Brazen_Sand> "I suppose I could talk to them. That whole thing with Anshu and Cerise should get me some information in exchange..." Brazen mused

[14:06] <Bright_Snow> "I see you've redecorated though." She manages before her old friend enters the room.

[14:06] <Brazen_Sand> "That is how things work here, yes?"

[14:07] <Shrike> Shrike for a moment, looks surprised, then angry...then bemused. "...you're a fast learner," she allows, shaking her head with a chuckle. "Well, I suppose I -could- name a few names to watch..."

[14:08] <Nomoe_Hideaki> *easy acquiescence /When we can speak face to face, then. Good luck in your search./*

[14:09] <Shrike> Shrike then proceeds to mention a number of Elevationists, clearly favouring that factor in the Deliberative.

[14:11] <Brazen_Sand> "Very good. Brazen said. I noticed that you didn't include my good friend Snow in there." He added discreetly

[14:11] <~Anshu> Lily smiles a little. "Well, it's been a while, and the decor is easier to change than the geomancy."

[14:11] <Shrike> "Hmm. I can't say I'm too familiar with Snow," Shrike admits. "Aside from your mentioning that name before?"

[14:12] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen's muzzle closed and his face dropped. "How many heard?"

[14:12] *** Bright_Snow has quit IRC: Ping timeout

[14:12] <Shrike> The redhead shrugs. "Dunno. Noticing things is what I do, though."

[14:12] <Nomoe_Hideaki> There is the slightest hint of a frown in Nomoe's expression as the possibility of a delay is mentioned. "Let us endeavour to unify wisdom and alacrity," he then smiles. "Well, I'll not be greedy with your valuable time, Deliberator ..."

[14:13] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen nodded and then looked out into the hallway. "Let's walk and talk, yes?" He asked

[14:15] <Shrike> "Well, I have nowhere else I need to be," Shrike states, motioning for Brazen to lead the way.

[14:16] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen stomped out with her in tow, his footfalls oddly masking his voice. "How long have you been in the Deliberative, Shrike?" He asked seriously.

[14:17] <Brazen_Sand> "Maybe...6 years? I know Malfeas freaked around that time. When it began."

[14:18] <~Anshu> Ziyad smiles in return. "You're an important figure, Deliberator, in and out of this hall. In light of your service to Creation, I can hardly begrudge a few moments of conversation."

[14:18] <Shrike> "Not that long. A couple of years," Shrike allows, frowning thoughtfully. "I tend to spend a fair amount of time away, of course."

[14:19] <Brazen_Sand> "My friend is in trouble." Brazen said. "If you're wondering why I'm telling you this, I'll be blunt. You go blabbing about what I'm going to let you in on, and all of Creation will know of what you're doing with Anshu and Cerise. Understand?"

[14:19] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen whispered

[14:20] <Brazen_Sand> "That's ninja code." He added.

[14:20] <Shrike> "Crystal," Shrike whispers back, nodding in understanding. "However, you need not worry. Keeping secrets is what I do," she explains. "Well, one thing I do. But I know very well that loose lips sink airships."

[14:21] <Brazen_Sand> "Good. Now, can you tell me what you know about Bright Snow? Something happened around the Deliberative that she won't tell anyone about. It's got her scared to go back."

[14:21] <Brazen_Sand> "I just outed her in front of literally everyone. I can't let her get hurt for my fuck-up."

[14:21] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "You are very kind, Deliberator," Nomoe bows modestly, and after a few additional niceties are exchanged the two Eclipses part again, each continuing with their own diplomatic dance.

[14:23] <Shrike> "Honestly, I know that you mentioned her and then frantically backpedaled trying to hide it, but that's about it," Shrike admits.

[14:24] <~Anshu> Lilly continues, "After the big Infernal bellowed out your name for all to hear, I expect the reason you've shown up again after so long is for my help. Right?"

[14:26] <Bright_Snow> "We were allies in the past. Both on the floor and before hand. I would rally my old allies." She shrugs, "Or has it been too long?" She glances at Lily appraisingly.

[14:27] <Bright_Snow> "It isn't like you and other members of the Path haven't benefitted from my absence and my research."

[14:33] <~Anshu> Lily makes a small dismissive gesture. "I still count you a friend, if that's what you mean, and I'll help where I can. And true, the research had been very helpful. But the reason I attend these meetings - the Deliberative, that is - is to make sure that my territory doesn't get swallowed up by someone else. Especially Sanken."

[14:34] <Brazen_Sand> "Shit." Brazen growled

[14:34] <Shrike> "However, I do have access to the archives," Shrike observes with a smirk.

[14:35] <Brazen_Sand> "Take me to them, while there's still time."

[14:35] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen hissed impatiently.

[14:36] <Shrike> Shrike nods, and turns to head in the direction of the archives, expertly leading the way through the Deliberative's halls.

[14:36] <~Anshu> She tilts her head consideringly. "For Brazen to know you, though, you must work with Nomoe Hideaki. Could you perhaps exert some influence with him, on my behalf?"

[14:36] <Shrike> She -does- have a distinct sway in her hips.

[14:37] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen would've been following them at any other time, but right now there is much on his mind.

[14:37] <Bright_Snow> "You think I have forgotten that?" she says with a smile. "I am only back here because I could not run forever and to be honest I want my freedom back and in exchange for that old friend I will do what I can for you about Nomoe."

[14:41] <Bright_Snow> "Furthermore I think it about time I take my place in the responsabilities of running the Path."  She says taking a seat again somewhat dejectedly. "I have run from that for long enough."

[14:41] <~Anshu> Lily nods.

[14:47] <~Anshu> "I'll do what I can, as well. Li is still a hothead, but Solitary manages to sit on him well enough. Not to say they aren't still your enemies and won't try to make your life as difficult as they can, but you don't have to fear for your life, at least; even they couldn't get away with killing you they way things are now."

[14:49] * Bright_Snow posture relaxes some. "Then it should be as simple as turning up and reclaiming my old place. Well nearly that simple anyway."

[14:50] <Bright_Snow> "Do we still possess many allies amongst the Deliberative?" Snow asks her knowing they share similar views on many things. "We had a few in the past, but that was many years ago and the Deliberative has grown substantially."

[14:54] <~Anshu> Shrike and Brazen reach the archives. Unfortunately, while the door is built big enough to accommodate a large, well-built man, it's a bit too small for Brazen's true form to squeeze through. He may have to trust Shrike to look through the records for him.

[14:55] <Shrike> Shrike steps through the door, then looks back, at the door, then  at Brazen, then back at the door, frowning.

[14:56] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen grit his teeth adn started looking for an alternate entrance.

[14:57] <Brazen_Sand> "You know the place better then I do. I'll just wiat here."

[14:59] <Shrike> "Well, alright. If you're sure?" Shrike asks, shrugging and heading into the archives, tossing her hair back as she begins searching to solve the Mystery of Snow!

[15:00] <~Anshu> Lily nods. "We have a few true allies, and more who'll support you as a way to oppose Solitary and the Hierarchists." She rolls her eyes a little. "Politics, you know how it goes."

[15:09] <Bright_Snow> "It was among the reasons I fled this nonsense in the first place. Besides of course the death sentence on my head." She gives a broad grin, "Who ever would have thought comparing Li to a dog and Solitary Talon to a common whore would have had such an effect."

[15:16] <~Anshu> Shrike hunts through the records quickly and efficiently, focusing a bit of essence on the task, and is able to pull up the recording of Snow's last public appearance in the Deliberative.

[15:18] <Shrike> Shrike collects an armload of what she believes to be related records as well, and turns to head back to rejoin Brazen to study them.

[15:18] <~Anshu> Lily grins back, just about as broadly. "Your exact words were 'a rabid dog leashed by a disease-ridden whore', as I recall. Which is unfair and untrue, as you well know. Solitary is Exalted, they don't get diseases."

[15:19] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen met her in a private room away from prying eyes. He didn't wnat to hurt Snow even more.

[15:22] <Bright_Snow> "I believe I was trying to imply she was a disease but didn't fully articulate it at the time." Snow says witha mischievous look. "I think I had to dodge a podium."

[15:25] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen and Shrike left the room later. "Oh hell, well, that was not very bright of her." Brazen said soberly.

[15:25] <Brazen_Sand> "Shit, this is bad."

[15:25] <Shrike> "I admire her spirit, but even I can see she could have been...ah, more diplomatic," Shrike agrees with a nod, and a bit of a frown.

[15:30] <Brazen_Sand> "I really stepped in it this time." He mumbled. "I need to find Hideaki-San."

[15:31] <Shrike> Shrike gives Brazen's arm a pat. "Everybody makes mistakes - it's how we deal with them that is more important," she says, surprisingly softly.

[15:33] <Bright_Snow> "I blame it on being young and impetious." She says, pretending she is neither of those now and trying to hold a straight face. "I suspect we shall need to return to the chamber soon, Do you recall where my seat is? I assume one was kept open for me. After all I never renounced my status as a Deliberator."

[15:33] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen swallowed for a moment. "Yes, right. he's got to be around here somewhere. Hopefully I can find him before teh session starts again."

[15:33] *** Bright_Snow is now known as Peace_And_War

[15:34] <Peace_And_War> A young child, no more than ten wonders up to Brazen and Shrike "What where the two of you doing in the archives may I ask Deliberators?" He has red eyes and bright blue hair down to his shoulders.

[15:35] * Nomoe_Hideaki is easily found, though among this gathering of powers there are - for once - some whose presences are similar augmented by Charms and hideously expensive clothes

[15:35] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen just stared at the child.

[15:35] <~Anshu> "Mmmm, I don't think one was. You don't necessarily need to take your own seat back anyway. Just showing up as yourself and saying you wish to resume your duties would be enough to get started. You could join me, if you wished."

[15:35] <Brazen_Sand> "Looking."

[15:36] <Shrike> "Well, then, let's find him," Shrike observes, nodding - and then as the child approaches, giving him a smile. "We were doing some research, little one - you wouldn't happen to know where Deliberator Hideaki is, would you?"

[15:36] <Nomoe_Hideaki> By now he himself has gathered a small circle of fellow Deliberators around him - though only a member of the Deliberative for less than two years he is indeed a rising power.

[15:36] <Peace_And_War> "Looking at what?" He says with an inquisitive look. "There are so many reasons you could be in there before we try the Empress for her 'crimes'"

[15:37] <Shrike> "We were doing some historical research unrelated to the Empress, actually," Shrike says with a smile.

[15:37] <Peace_And_War> "Deliberator Hideaki, yes I would. Let me lead the way." He shows only minimal deference to the pair.

[15:37] <Nomoe_Hideaki> And of course there are many who want to hear our his opinion or secure his alliance in one matter or another - or who simply want to be seen with him.

[15:38] <Peace_And_War> "Really? You should have asked my colleague, Little Teacher, he is quite knowledgeable about the subject." He says looking as if he doesn't believe a word. "I personally would."

[15:39] <Shrike> Shrike nods, and goes to follow him in the direction of the Deliberator with her swaying stride. "Well, we might have, but I at least prefer to do things myself rather than bother others about them."

[15:39] <Brazen_Sand> "Ah...well, we'll keep that in mind next time." Brazen said.

[15:40] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen sounded distracted when he spoke, not his usual self.

[15:40] <Peace_And_War> "Really, the two of you sneaking off to the archives together. What would your Wife say Deliberator Brazen?" He says glancing at him his eyes wide. "With such an attractive young Solar too."

[15:40] <Brazen_Sand> "Hideaki-San, we need to talk." Brazen asked.

[15:41] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen stared cancer-causing daggers at teh child for a moment.

[15:41] <Shrike> Shrike rolls her eyes and chuckles. "Such a dirty mind in such an innocent young one," she observes.

[15:41] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen just stared at him open-mouthed in shock.

[15:43] <Brazen_Sand> And walked away, trying to keep the shame off his face.

[15:43] * Nomoe_Hideaki bows in greeting to the newcomers, as the circle of Deliberators part to admit them. "Deliberators, my greetings." He raises an eyebrow to Brazen Sand and smiles slightly. "One might think you have something to hide, giving your fellow Deliberator a look like that ..."

[15:43] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen gave him a surprisingly hidden look that said "Shut up or I will flay the flesh off your bones."

[15:45] <Peace_And_War> "Call it a side effect of having my mother." He says with a chuckle, "It leaves me with a most developed sense of understanding." He says with an emphasis on the last word. "People keep saying I'll break hearts when I'm older."

[15:45] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "And Deliberator Shrike of Swiftly Striking Talons, it is a pleasure to meet you," Nomoe bows to her as well.

[15:45] <Shrike> Shrike reutrns Nomoe's bow formally. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Deliberator. It is an honor."

[15:45] <Brazen_Sand> "Can I please speak to you, Hideaki-San? It concerns a mutual subject of interest between us." Brazen said, speaking as if by rote

[15:45] <Peace_And_War> "I say why wait?" He says with a bow, wandering away.

[15:46] <Brazen_Sand> Then feeling a pang as he remembered Wandering helping him remember what to say.

[15:46] <Shrike> She gives the youngling a nod, and can't help but chuckle softly to herself.

[15:47] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Now, Lord Brazen, of course I can make time for my newest peer in the Deliberative." But it takes a minute or two until Nomoe has finished excusing himself, and another minute until a suitably private room is located.

[15:48] <Brazen_Sand> "Hideaki-San. Me and Deliberator Shrike discovered the reason for Snow's...situation." He said quietly

[15:49] <Bright_Snow> "I think I shall." Snow gestures Lily to lead the way.

[15:49] <Shrike> Shrike joins Nomoe and Brazen in the room, leaning against the wall with a surprisingly serious (for those who know her well) look on her face.

[15:49] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "You saw fit to involve her?" Nomoe's tone is cold, lacking the demonstrative friendliness from before.

[15:50] <Brazen_Sand> "Don't worry. She won't tell anyone." He looked at her. "Right, Shrike?" Brazen said through gritted teeth.

[15:50] <Shrike> "My lips are zipped," Shrike says, placing her hand over her heart. "May these secrets never be spoken of outside this room."

[15:51] <Nomoe_Hideaki> His hands hidden in his sleeves he keeps her in his peripheral sight even as he fixes the giant Deliberator.

[15:51] <Brazen_Sand> "Besides, I couldn't fit into the Records room."

[15:51] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Nomoe extends a hand, and lets his caste mark shimmer. "I'll accept your word, Deliberator ..."

[15:54] <Nomoe_Hideaki> He smiles slightly. "After all there may come a time when secrecy is no longer required."

[15:54] <Shrike> "May that day come soon. But until then..." Shrike nods.

[15:55] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Perhaps you would like to swear to the same, Lord Brazen, though it may be rather late for that ..."

[15:55] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen isn't too sure.

[15:56] <Brazen_Sand> "I'm...I'm sorry Hideaki-San. You know I didn't mean to do this." He said.

[16:05] <Shrike> "I should point out that I might have poked around a bit on my own eventually," Shrike speaks up. "After the mentioning of her on the floor."

[16:06] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen growled. "Fine." He said, and extended his hand.

[16:09] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Ah, Deliberator," Nomoe's tone changes completely as he addresses Shrike, "you are of course right, this is no more than barring the doors after the thief has already come and gone - the words are out and nothing will bring them back." He turns back to Brazen Sand and his tone cools again. "Nonetheless." Once more Old Realm words spiral around the room as an oath is sealed.

[16:09] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Then, suddenly as if the whole interlude had never happened, his demeanor is quite friendly again. "Now then, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

[16:10] <Brazen_Sand> "According to some records we found, she insulted Deliberator Talon and Li Jin Gang...in public, during a session. She's been on the run ever since."

[16:12] * Nomoe_Hideaki nods. "That matches with what we've seen."

[16:12] * Shrike falls quiet once more, allowing the other Deliberators to talk.

[16:12] <Brazen_Sand> "She escaped on one of Deliberator De'aneir'a's new...vehicle things." He added

[16:14] <Brazen_Sand> "This was all 7 years ago, though."

[16:19] <Nomoe_Hideaki> *slight confusion /Shouldn't be necessary?/*

[16:19] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Anything beyond that?"

[16:20] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen shook his head. "Not that I saw. What abotu you, Shrike?"

[16:20] <Shrike> "That seemed to be the extent of the important details," Shrike agrees with a nod. "Seven years is a short time for an Exalt, of course, though."

[16:20] <~Anshu> A note chimes through the room, wanring that the Deliberative will resume its session soon.

[16:21] <Brazen_Sand> "It's more that her insults were...well, really really bad."

[16:21] * Nomoe_Hideaki raises an eyebrow. "Really?"

[16:21] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen nodded and told him.

[16:23] <Brazen_Sand> "She called him a rabid dog leashed by a disease-ridden whore."

[16:24] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Yes, I can see how some might not take that well ..." Nomoe briefly dwells on what his reaction might have been. It is not a good thought.

[16:25] <Brazen_Sand> "And then they started fighting right on the floor. Like something out of teh Thing."

[16:25] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "It would be hypocritical of me to condemn the Deliberators' reaction, immediate or long-term," Nomoe shrugs. "But as it happens my place is on the opposite side." And that is that, so far as he is concerned.

[16:27] <~Anshu> And again comes the chime, a bit louder and more insistently pitched.

[16:27] <Shrike> "I believe that would be the recess bell," Shrike notes with bemusement.

[16:27] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "Ah, but the session is about to resume."

[16:28] * Nomoe_Hideaki bows once more to his fellow Deliberators, before they make their way back to the chamber

[16:29] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen followed them, looking for his seat again.

[16:31] <~Anshu> The chamber fills up with Celestials fairly quickly, though Terrestrials are being barred entrance for the time being.

[16:31] <Shrike> Shrike heads back to the chamber as well, quietly taking her seat in readiness for the resumption of the session.

[16:32] <Brazen_Sand> He looked at Wandering with profound guilt and anxiety, knowing it was only a matter of time before she found out.

[16:38] <~Anshu> The Empress now stands on the central platform, a bit in front of the Grand Circle, facing them. She's been permitted to change into her usual scarlet robes, though the Mantle of Brigid has been confiscated, and her wrists are bound by Manacles of Night.

[14:42] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Nomoe sits in his seat, composed and outwardly serene, awaiting whatever it might be the former Empress has to say for herself. Even if it is unlikely that his mind will be changed, it still is a historic occasion that merits his full attention.

[14:47] <Bright_Snow> There are several gasps, as Snow enters last amongst the Celestials, dressed in a red bodice and well cut knee length red skirt both of which show an archaic house symbol. Her hair is loose for once, straaight white and dazzling, reflecting in the sunlight.

[14:48] <Bright_Snow> She gives no note of what she is thinking and ignores the reaction to her presence, taking herself a platform and sitting regally. Her back striaght her attitude imperious, as if she hadn't been absent for seven years.

[14:50] <Bright_Snow> Two pieces of Jewelry adorn her, the serpent that always dresses her wrist which forms the symbol of the Elevationist and the pendant round her neck which glittering silver, take the form it always has, the symbol of the Winding Path.

[14:54] <Nomoe_Hideaki> Only the perfection of his Charms prevent Nomoe from showing emotion to an extent that would be highly improper for a diplomat. *surprise, admiration /You .../ after a few speechless moments, understanding /So that is why. A most daring move./ uncertainty mixed with approval*

[14:54] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen just stared at her. "What?!" he snapped to himself

[14:57] <~Anshu> There's a ripple of murmured discussion as she takes her seat. Down on the central platform, Solitary's eyes narrow with dislike, and Li stirs restlessly. Ziyad shoots them a glance, and when the conversation fails to die down, he clears his throat loudly through the chamber.

-[17:24] * Nomoe_Hideaki nods with appreciation. Her frank speech, unafraid of pointing out the logic of her own death, is worth a measure of respect. Of course it remains to be seen where she is going with this.

-[17:57] <~Anshu> Discussion breaks out again, SNow's arrival almost forgotten as the Deliberative digests the Empress's words.

Though sentencing is usually an internal matter for the Ministry of Justice, under the circumstances I shall invite opinions from the rest of the Deliberative. Are there any objections to Kaida Vanida's second request?"
-[18:06] <Shrike> "I have no objections to it, providing she is well-supervised"
-[18:08] <Nomoe_Hideaki> "There are practical concerns to be addressed regarding the necessary Deliberative oversight and verification, but beyond that ... only that we should consider carefully the precedent we set here, or make very clear that none is being set."
-[18:11] <Bright_Snow> "And why should we allow her an honourable death? She is a traitor to creation, by her own admission."
-[18:13] <Shrike> "The fact that she is willing to admit it speaks volumes - at least to me."

-[18:36] <Brazen_Sand> Brazen just sat back down. He could only give his vote on it.
-[18:36] <~Anshu> DSV speaks up with a possible compromise: "Perhaps she could be allowed to record a message, to be played later."

-[18:38] <Brazen_Sand> "I believe that is a good compromise." Brazen stated.
