Left Keep on the Borderland in morning, after taking care of business at the Keep. Traveled east along main road to Caves of Chaos, arriving around noon. Edward explored both orc cave openings, and found spiders at the western one, that had been explored before. Both spiders were killed with missile attacks. Entered the western cave entrance around 1:00 pm.

  • Turn 1: traveled to intersection. Found evidence of battle, but no bodies. Lit torches. Left torch in intersection.
  • Turn 2: western passage to large empty room, other than a lot of debris/junk everywhere.
  • Turns 3-5: thoroughly search room.
  • Turn 6: head east to intersection. Take passage north. Turn east.
  • Turn 7: catch orcs by surprise. New torches. Torch at intersection burns out. Fight continues through two rooms.
  • Turn 8: search rooms and corpses. Take loot. Leave arms, armor, crates, and barrels.
  • Turn 9: head east down corridor.
  • Turn 10: arrive in secret room. Find giant centipedes.
  • Turn 11: search room thoroughly. Take bags of treasure, cloaks, weapons. Leave shields.
  • Turn 12: enter room with two female orcs.
  • Turn 13: search room and find niche with treasure. New torches.
  • Turn 14: travel east to intersection.
  • Turn 15: travel east to door. Fail to unlock it.
  • Turn 16: head south from intersection. Fight three oil beetles.
