Doctor Knack, by his real name Samuel Drexler, is a criminal and mad scientist currently operating in New York City. Notably, he is the former apprentice and spiritual heir of the infamous Doctor Trick.

Perhaps a little less destructive than his alleged mentor, Knack is nevertheless considered one of the bigger villainous threats in town, on par with The New Predators. It is believed that an important part of his work consists in research into superpowers, and that he has been granting metahuman abilities to some of the city's gangsters, for a price.
