Background

Yoko Jokikoto was a poor girl who dreamed of more. She tried to become apprenticed to craftsmen and blacksmiths, but her unorthodox ideas, near obsessive-compulsive desire for cleanliness, and tendency to build extremely elaborate contraptions that no one else could figure out how to use had her run out of town as a witch on three separate occasions. Muttering about the foolish superstitions of foolhardy peasants, Yoko eventually made her way to the capital, where she believed that her designs would get her a position as apprentice to the court wizard.

They did not. The court wizard, in fact, laughed her out of his office, and told her that her foolish little steam contraptions were useful only as a children's entertainment, and her cleaning supplies were maid's work.

Maid, he called her. Maid! Well, she would show him maid!!

Getting the actual application to become a scullery maid wasn't hard; Nyoko simply turned on the charm and demonstrated how well she could clean dishes. From there, it was a simple matter of designing a clockwork toy for the youngest prince, and soon she was a royal maid! And she will show that fool of a court wizard just how powerful and amazing a maid can be!! Ahahahahahaahahahahah!!!
