Backstory

(More TBD)

The first circle demon of Oramus known as the Maid-in-the-Mirror was what approached him and offered him the deal — and in a fit of maddened pique he accepted and was cocooned. Five days later he emerged transformed, his bones and nails stained in different colors, his eyes crimson and radiant, his flesh and hair iridescent... and his body much more feminine than before, giving him a very androgynous look.

Entering Malfeas, he was brought before the Yozi who discovered him, Oramus, the Dragon Beyond the World, and learned from him both sorcery and demonic techniques. During the time of his training he became acquainted with and the lover of Mara, second circle demon of Erembour, descended from the Ebon Dragon. She's a strange ally to say the least, but a prominent one, and able to be summoned at need. Her prices for help are often... risqué and strange though.

With his training complete, he attended Hellcon, and ended up meeting Ten. Afterwards he was brought before Oramus again, and managed to intuit that he needed to go slaughter the Fair Folk soon to attack the Dreaming Sea – cause Oramus hates them and that was the closest thing he could figure out from all the chaos, madness, and screaming.

And if he gets to bring enlightenment through his mystical workings and transformative arts, well, Creation can only benefit! Right?

Exalt

Horizon Infernal

Exalt Milestone: At the end of each session, Horizon Castes gain an Exalt milestone if they used their knowledge to interfere with or thwart a significant character’s plans.

  • Corona of Fury: While the Infernal is at his Critical Health level or at 4 or more anima, the Breath of War restores 2 motes instead of 1, and he recovers 1 mote between actions during social influence scenes or ventures.
  • Unwoven Coadjutor: An Infernal develops a direct spiritual connection with the Essence of Hell. This manifests as a nascent demonic soul budding within the Infernal that only he can access. Once per session, the Infernal may ask up to his Essence in questions to learn about a specific situation, such as:
    • Can you tell me the nature of this spirit?
    • What strange history happened here?
    • What do you know about this place or object?
    • What unusual weaknesses does it have?
    • What would it take to destroy it?
  • Resonance: Infernals are resonant with orichalcum.

Anima Effects

  • Knowledge at All Costs (Passive): Reduce the base number of obstacles the Horizon must overcome on a venture involving investigation, research, or planning by one, to a minimum of one.
  • Principles of Hierarchy (Active): Add the Horizon’s Essence in automatic successes for Craft or Sagacity rolls, including Build Power and Focus Will actions.
  • Power and Control (Iconic): Spend 4 anima to disrupt the Essence flowing through a target. The target adds half the Horizon’s Essence (rounded up) to the mote cost on Charms for the duration of the combat. They must pay 1 mote for Charms with no cost. If they cannot afford the Charm, they cannot activate it. Additionally, the Horizon can steal Will with a withering attack instead of gaining Power.

The Great Curse

Incitement

  • Kyros acts against his Major Intimacy.
  • Kyros acts against his Major Virtue.
  • Kyros' plans or ambitions are directly thwarted.
  • Kyros is obviously outmatched or defeated in a contest or challenge.

When Kyros succumbs to the curse, he lashes out in Hellish Eruption. All eruptions last for a scene, Kyros' Devil-Body Incarnation forcefully activating for the duration. Kyros may choose how to pay for Devil-Body Incarnation activation as normal.

Hellish Eruptions

Throne Toppling Mood
Shrine Scorning Tirade
Heaven Challenging Thunder
Luxurious Hoarding Tendency
Tyrannous Hell Presence

Charms

  • Devil-Body Incarnation
  • Emerald Hellfire Aegis (Integrity-Protecting Principle)
  • Inner Devil Unchained
  • Life-Denying Hate (Spirit-Slaying Stance)
  • Mind-Hand Manipulation
  • Sagacity Excellency
  • Shadow Spite Curse
  • Sorcerous Initiation

Shaping Rituals

  • Wyld Wisdom: You wandered the nightmare-tides of the Wyld in search of enlightenment. When the sorcerer wakes from slumber, his player may ask the Storyteller for a strange taboo — something he must not do or, alternatively, must always do. The impact of this taboo determines how much Will he gains, up to 3. If he violates the taboo, he loses all Will and the difficulty of focus Will actions increases by 2 for the rest of the session.

Spells

  • Slave-Spawn Summons (Hound of the Five Winds)

Merits

  • Ally: Mara the Shadow-Lover, Second Circle soul of Erembour can be summoned without restriction into Creation by Kyros at any time due to a pact, but demands a price for her services.
  • Resources (Secondary): Kyros has invested in an impressively large number of merchant guilds and trade ports in the Dreaming Sea, so he possesses a decently substantial income. He still owns multiple well-furnished apartments in various areas across the Dreaming Sea, and also has a stable under his name containing a choice of fine mounts. He can gain an audience with kings, minor satraps and young Dynastic scions by leveraging his economic power.
  • Contacts (Tertiary): Where there are gods, magic, and desires, there are cults. As a Green Sun Prince, Kyros can find the various scattered cults of the Yozis across the Dreaming Sea and acquire information and services from them.
