The Strength bonus is added to all checks where raw physical strength can be used to overcome the obstacle.  It is also added to rolled each damage die for melee weapons.

Strength determines [[Dungeons&D6:Encumbrance|Encumbrance]].  Characters with normal Strength may carry 3 items and be Unencumbered, 6 items and be Lightly Encumbered, 12 items and be Encumbered, and 24 items and be Over EncumberedCharacters with an advantage in Strength increase those limits to 4, 9, 18, and 36 respectivelyCharacters with a disadvantage in Strength decrease those to 1, 3, 6, and 12 respectively.
