An all-female gang of mercenaries that works for SHADOW.  The Gemstone Girls are a ruthless band of thieves and killers that spend the majority of their time attempting to make it rich and the rest of the time spending their outrageous fees on partying.


The Gemstone Girls are not terrorists, per say, and never strike indiscriminate targets but they are not adverse to killing targets that are armed.  The Gemstone Girls are, however, fundamentally loyal to '''Overshadow''' so long as he continues to pay the highest on the open market.  They are not adverse, however, to taking on other employment if the price is right.


== Diamond Dart ==

Real Name: Ellen Aim


Diamond Dart is the sometimes lover of [[David Helman]] and [[Hellrider]].  


A former cheerleader at Freedom City High School, Diamond Dart was infused with energy from the Terminus Invasion that gave her unimaginable agility and the power to regenerate nearly any wound.  '''Kate Winston''' swiftly found made her a minor celebrity in her home town.  Debuting as the superheroine '''Jewel''', she grew bitter at the attention being shown the Freedom League and the harsh lifestyle.  


Deciding to see how the other half lives, Diamond Dart became a mercenary for hire and formed the Gemstone Girls.  She has no particular loyalty to Overshadow and actually has refused several missions from him (mostly having to do with mass murder).  She still has some scruples and categorically refuses to harm the innocent.  


== Ruby Rays ==

Real name: Lilith Drake


Ruby Rays has a special relationship with Hellrider as well, specifically she's his half-sister (on the demon side).  A warrior succubus summoned straight from the Inferno, Ruby Rays can summon forth brutal blasts of fire and and destructive force at will.  Oddly, she rarely kills due to the fact that to send a good person to their death will only send them to Heaven.  When faced with genuine scum, Ruby cuts loose.


Ruby has an especial hatred for her brother since he's destroyed her on several occasions.  While their father has always sent her back, its fairly clear that the Half-Demon is much stronger than the full one.


== Emerald Eyes ==

Real Name: Cassandra "Cassie" Sin


Emerald Eyes is the only non-powered member of the Gemstone Girls and doesn't need it.  A brutal assassin and martial artist, Emerald Eyes has the least problem with killing and has slain well over a hundred men with her bare hands.  Emerald Eyes is the daughter of the merciless '''Doctor Sin''' and an IRA terrorist named Maggie O'Connel.  Emerald Eyes is arguably the greatest martial artist currently alive in the Freedomverse.


It is curious why she travels with the Gemstone Girls and most suspect she simply enjoys their tendency to attract supernatural opponents.

== Sapphire Strike ==

Real Name: Yomiko Takashi


A former agent of the Japanese government, Saphire Strike was attached to UNISON when she investigated a bomb explosion that tore her body to pieces.  The bomb had actually been thrown by her own partner that felt she'd grown too close to the '''Labyrinth'''' and its secrets.  Sapphire Strike was rebuilt from the ground up as a cyborg that could generate glowing energy force fields around herself and release devastating concussion blasts.  


Sapphire Strike is a lesbian and in an on-again off-again relationship with Ruby Rays.


== Amethyst Ally ==

Real name: WHO CAN SHE BE!?

Amethyst Ally is the newest member of the Gemstone girls. She is cheerful and cooperative. Always willing to be of service to her fellow Gemstone Girls. If anyone asks she'll respond with the same story. She was born without parents or family and raised herself until recently when the Gemstone Girls "adopted" her and her life has been different ever since. She knows no life or meaning outside her "family" and will serve them faithfully till the bitter end. Taking up the role of diplomat and mascot for the entire group.

In truth, Amethyst Ally is simply [[Chantal Chandler|Chantal]] hypnotized by Diamond Dart into thinking she's one of them. Substituting false memories into her mind. Chantal remains as herself until she is called upon by using a special password that causes her fictional memories to take pretense over her true ones. Whenever Chantal hears the word "Izdubar" she will instantly dawn her guise as Amethyst Ally and meet with her friends to serve them as they so desire.
