As a miner Geoph (you pronounce the 'p') worked tirelessly and caroused heartily. Built like a brick wall and just as smart, with a five year old's common sense. His best friend Mutt worked alongside him in the mines, and kept him on task. Things changed when kobolds invaded the mine and Geoph (you also pronounce the 'h') picked up a long-handled shovel and started killing them with Mutt guarding his back. He demanded a reward from the notoriously tight-fisted mine owner, who only paid out a copper a head. Insulted, Geoph (but you don't pronounce the 'o') quit and announced his intent by shoving the mine owner head-first into a mound of tailings. Mutt grabbed the owner's purse, and they ran out of the hills. They've outfitted themselves and are now on the outlook for adventure. Quickly. Before their money and welcome run out.
