Those with Essence can dump it into the sword to master its hatred and wield it against their enemies. Those without - like ordinary mortals - are overcome by the weapon! If they hold hatred in their hearts, the sword forces them to kill those the wielder hates (with all its powers at their disposal). The Spite Sword![edit]

Memo to make an artefact weapon that embodies the entire Greater Strife of the Bitter Rival. It's going to be an angry, rattling, begging to be drawn so it can slake its first kind of sword. Will probably need to be around level 7 to make the complete thing. Planning to kill some great and angry critter so I can use its bones and guts to forge the thing.

Those with Essence can dump it into the sword to master its hatred and wield it against their enemies. Those without - like ordinary mortals - are overcome by the weapon! If they hold hatred in their hearts, the sword forces them to kill those the wielder hates (with all its powers at their disposal). If they have no one they hate, or they succeed in killing their enemies, the sword seeks to slake its own hatred and turns its wielder against Gloria - sending them inexorably after her.
