In his civilian identity Ricky nearly always wears jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers, with a sweater if it's warm enough, none of it colourful or otherwise standing out.

His costume is a layer of the strange, bright yellow material he can summon and control, covering his entire body and face. The texture of it is slightly rough.

Ricky can extend and detach pieces of the material to ensnare others and allow himself to move by swinging. He's also very fast and agile as well as fairly tough and strong.

About a year ago, when my powers first manifested. Literally - the first thing I did was cover myself in this... weird, yellow substance that I can apparently call up from somewhere and control with my mind.

Probably that Mr. Diamonds dude. It was one of my first nights out patrolling and I stumbled across him when he was about to rob a jewelry store and somehow I managed to stop him. He was really pissed off that he was foiled (that's the word, isn't it?) by some no-name noob even before anyone knew what he was doing.

Then there were a couple of times when I more or less accidentally stopped some things his thugs were doing, so now he thinks I've got it in for him, and honestly it's just been dumb luck.

No freakin' clue! Dad works at some office all day and Mom's a waitress. Gran-gran lives with us too, but I'm pretty sure she's too old to be a superhero. (Mom says she's too old to live on her own but she's still sharp as a tack. It makes the apartment a bit crowded, but she's funny and it's nice there's someone home when I get home from school.)

I haven't been bitten by a radioactive... I dunno, rubberband or anything, so... no clue.

But then this is Halcyon City. I could have been around a dozen superheroes on the way to school without even knowing about it, and weird things happen every day. Once when I was on the subway Doc Toc was chased through my car by Timekeeper, and one time we had to stay at a motel for a week because the Anarchemist had rigged some kind of gas bomb in a van down the street and they were worried it might have been leaking, but I don't know anything that's happened to me that hasn't happened to a hundred other people.

I try to tell him as little about it as possible, and it's not like I've been on tv or anything so he doesn't know much other than that I go out on patrol sometimes.

When he found out I actually tried talking to him like he was an adult, and I think it worked. Mom and Dad still treats him like he's just a kid, but he's growing up fast. I mean, for the most part he's just as annoying as he's ever been, but he's figuring out a lot of things about how the world really works too.

So yeah, I had a serious talk with him and I think he understood that it would put everyone in the family in danger if anyone knew. Er, and I also promised that if I ever meet Goldwheel I'll ask for her autograph for him. I told him she's out on the highways and not here in the city, but he made me promise.

Millie Barton. Oh man. I'm an average player and I'm fine with that. Sometimes I get to be in the tournament team and sometimes not, and that's cool. I'm in it for the challenge and because when I play I don't have to think about anything else, but Millie... she's all about winning. She's a terribly sore loser and almost a worse winner, and she wins, like, a ''lot''.
