Description: "Doctor" Gilbert Flynn (don't ask to see his diploma) is a jovial, somewhat rotund man in his mid-thirties, with thinning blonde hair and a fatherly air to him that promises that he will soon make sense of all this. He advertises himself as an expert on the occult and paranormal, and boasts of having made a number of discoveries in his illustrious career that the scientific community for reasons of close-mindedness and jealousy so far refuses to acknowledge. He's got a winning smile, a quick mouth, and a complete shamelessness that has served him well in life.

Truth be told, Gilbert really is interested in the supernatural, he just isn't above manufacturing a haunting or two if the hidden world is uncooperative and refuses to hand him a case - he has bills to pay, after all! He is looking forward to his outing to Trackston, where he is sure that important discoveries await - and if not, well, those one-horse towns tend to have more nicely gullible rednecks and fewer smartass reporters saying things like, "what university did you say your degree was from, again?" and "is it true that those 'cold spots' only appeared after you arrived at the scene?"

Description: Beauregard Lee Fitz-Wallace, typically called Bubba or Mr Fitz, is the product of years of Texas breeding gone slightly off. Tall and rail thin, he is weathered beyond his years and dresses more like a frontier undertaker than a government official, but he's been an inspector with the USDA for the past 25 years, and has risen to the top of the regional hierarchy. Salt and pepper hair is usually tucked under a black stetson, an opal bolo tie around his neck (a gift from his wife on their honeymoon in Australia), and always black pants and collared shirt. He has a tendency to put people off, not least because he is a stickler for the rules.

Despite his outmoded appearance, he has kept apace with modern developments in the factory farming field and computing, although the truth is after 25 years of inspecting slaughter houses, the lean Texan is a vegetarian. He's worked with police forces before, during the investigation of several drug rings run out of smaller farms, and assumes his arrival here is more of the same.

Dr. Wesley Morgan [Solaryn][edit]

Age: 29 Occupation: Archaeologist (Professor) Annual income: $55,000

Description: Wesley Morgan has always been a bit of a small fry, standing at a low 5ft 4inches and with a lean, outdoorsy frame. His saving grace was a handsome face - but that didn't get hid Ph.D for him; rather it was years in the quiet, and occasionally gibbering, halls of Miskatonic University that Morgan came to his intellectual bloom. It would further come to fruition upon his first field research assignment, an endeavor that would lead him to the Middle East, among the nomadic Bedouin for a time, and into the hushed mountains of Kurdistan, where wariness constantly warred with his own insatiable curioisity. He saw things there that he could not explain, things that hearkened back to the deeper corridors of Miskatonic's libararies, and overnight a dusty academic mythology had transformed into a real mystery to be solved.

Functional is his usual attire, trousers with more pockets than is professional, vests and thick cotton that can handle a day's work and a few scuffs in the dirt. The pockets are typically filled with files, pocket knives, brushes, tape measures, trowels and the like. He hasn't managed to kick his Massachusetts/Boston accent, and tends to sport clean shaven cheeks.

Dr. William Stratford [Lucas Blackwolf][edit]

Age: 30 Occupation: Doctor of Medicine (Pathology) Annual income: $35,000

Characteristics: Strength (STR) 8 Constitution (CON) 7 Power (POW) 6 Dexterity (DEX) 9 Appearance (APP) 12 Size (SIZ) 11 Intelligence (INT) 14 Education (EDU) 18 (Base, none from age)
