Personal Details, Obligations, Heirlooms, and Other Notes

Ana grew up as the middle child in a gamekeeper's family, with an older sister (who married off and left when Ana was 8, and she has lost contact with) and a younger brother. Her father is still alive, but her mother dies just a few years after having her brother Eloran - it was a difficult birth and she never fully recovered. A few years ago Eloran took sick and is still sickly, and a local monk taught the young boy to read. Her father, seeing Eloran would nver be a forester, trained Ana (who already had trained herself to a large degree) instead.

The gamekeeper's family are not popular in the local peasant community, especially after having caught a few of them poaching. Still, there are those who like them well enough - for five years, Ana has had a sweetheart (and just before she broke it off, a lover) in the village - the cobbler's son Philo.

Late last autumn, Ana's father Michelle almost died in hte woods, breaking both his leg and pelvis under a fallen tree. Since then, she has seen to the work, keeping up the fiction that her brother and lamed fater is seeing to it.
