Inquisitor Vaarak (Investigations of Arbiter Haxtes)

Overview

Inquisitor Vaarak is a member of the Ordo Hereticus, and a respected mastermind in the Tyrantine Cabal. An accident early in his career required massive reconstruction of his lower body, which left him too distinctive for the kind of undercover operations that he so favored. Instead, he turned himself into the center of a giant network of agents and acolytes that span the Calixis Sector.

Arbiter Haxtes has now run into one of his cells (and violently closed it). The cell was sent to the spacehulk Twilight, and attempted to steal the Liber Daemonica to turn over to the Dark Eldar raiders. Haxtes (with the help of Brother Sergeant Agamorr) made sure all four members of the cell were eliminated before escaping the hulk. Haxtes also swept in and rooted out the corruption within, and behind, the Joyous Choir before Inquisitor Vaarak's network could reveal the same information.

If Inquisitor Vaarak has any sort of pride about his abilities and teams, Arbiter Haxtes has probably caught his eye by now. And not in a good way.
