This puppet king was reportedly chosen by Jocestis because of his sexual practices which, apparently, have proved sufficient. He has ruled with her for seven years. Glytpus is a weak, timid man who does the job because the queen commands it, and because she is uninterested in sitting on judgment of the hundred petty details of local, daily rulership. In either of the other citadels, Glyptus would be too weak to ever remain king. Although the more complacent farmers and pig herders consider him to be a good and fair king, the hunters openly mock both him and his authority.
