The crew says goodbye to Shepherd's Mission after two days of repairs and loading cargo. They set off for New Canaan on 11 Sep 2525 with furniture, toys, and candy. The cargo is for a Companion Training House and a Buddhist monastery with an orphanage attached.<br><br>

After a day's travel, they land on New Canaan and the crew unloads the cargo.  Distributing the toys and candy is a welcome change for the crew. The innocent joy and enthusiasm of the young orphans lifts everyone's spirits. The crew spends three weeks on the ground. The peace of the monastery and the Healing Waters Companion Training House brings much-needed relief for those who have been badly affected by the Reavers on Meridian. Tian and Nuri receive gentle tutelage in meditation and mind quieting techniques. The rest of the crew takes their ease in the lush tropical mountain setting, the monastery's quietude, and the exquisite grounds of the Training House and Temple. This is just the respite the crew needs after their recent hardships. <br><br>

So of course, this state of affairs couldn't last. <br><br>
