The clan lives in a dozen or so hearths located on the northern end of Ronswood, both north of the River of the Damned and north of Brother Hills. The elders say that the clan is named for the large haul of salmon they used to take from the river, before chaos moved into the region, polluting the river and forcing the clan to abandon their ancestral lands alongside the river. The clan was rich then as dried salmon were a desired commodity that could be traded to other clans and even to merchants in the citadels for valuables.

Now the clan lives by harvesting wild fruits and vegetables from the surrounding forest, and from meat brought back by the hunters. Food can be difficult, but the most difficult issue for the clan is the separation from the rest of Balazar. The polluted river is dangerous to cross and teaming with chaos beasts, so no one travels across it. Brother Hills is steep and difficult to pass. It is a long trek through Rodi's Gap to Dykene, and an even longer trek around to either Trilus or Elkoi. To the north and east are ancestral enemies, trolls.
