He carries himself with the air of someone who has seen more tragedy than any man can be asked and yet as come to peace with the world and his place in it. In his Apotheosis Davy is a huge worm, as white as bleached bone and covered with faces. To a Leviathan these are either generic or featureless but humans often remember seeing dead loved ones and though they forget the words they remember hearing messages from beyond.
