Race description: Small mouse-like tailed digitigrade Semi-humanoid, with mood/communication colour changing wings, Seed and nectar preference Omnivore with high calorie requirements. Notes, Blues (especially pale sky blues) denote embarrassment/shame, low saturated greens and browns fear, shock, bright greens comfortable content purple happiness, yellow aggression and red excitement with exact patterns denoting nuance, UV colouration and pattern fixed and an individual identifier.

Extra biology note

So thought about some ideas of how I wanted them to look while flying, mostly floating with occasion flaps to stabilise and rapid flapping when flying fast. while making it which made me realise the following facts are likely true.

1. Home world has slightly higher gravity then earth, enough that human can visit fine but high enough that local life has adaptions

2. Most land vertebrate equivalents have hydrogen filled organs to help offset weight and at least fish fin descended parachuting structures if not gliding or wing to reduce damage from falls

3. Even then chances are would need a superpower boost assume many species has very limited TK, most limited to self levitation occasion grasping animal. Assume flight gains tiring when under psionic nullification effect as part of its descriptor

4. Wings only look like butterfly wings and closer examination would show them more in line with bone wire filled fleshy fins

5. Said Wings can wrap around his body when resting like a cocoon

Background and Description

Description

Tall for his race 1.51 feet, he has tan coloured fur that goes towards walnut in darker patches and beech in lighter ones, notable patterning includes dark rims on his ears, Light "socks" on his paws with fussy dark stipes on the back of his limbs and back. His wings while colour and pattern changing have pronounced rounding with long wing tails. His face continues his fur stripes along to his nose with his lower jaw and neck showing his beech coloration, has light purplish human red eyes. Normally wearing Kwuee-pol style uniform consisting of a Limed coloured pocketed Harness to hold belongings and insignia and Grey Shorts. Human form was created by combining traits of characters from a human Sci fi franchise, and commonly wears Lime and grey coloured clothing

Backstory

Born on the Kwuee-pol homeworld to a family of academics, entertainers and Tk/pyrokinesis mystics [Brood name Nickerot translate as fire-sighted, suggest a long history of connection to fire in the form of meditation on flame and academics in the form of many nights reading by lamp], Flormeer had a keen curiosity and a desire to learn and explore, as such The alliance fleet held great interest to him. Not born with the talent in TK, Flormeer focused his pursuit into the sciences, flourishing and with his family's happy blessing joined the explorer branch of the alliance fleet. The physical training was hard for Flormeer even with the scaling factors taken into account and the discipline requirement was mildly challenging but the enhanced education programs made up for this. His first few assignments went well and a early joint mission with the angel branch made him realise his desire to help and so increased his cross training along those lines. Before his last mission he was promoted out of the unnamed ranks into sub lieutenant rank, a fact he was proud of, going from the pure white uniforms to the lime green of the explorer and the light grey of basic rank. His last mission was really not meant for him but the assigned Angel branch pilot was sick and as flight missions required the minimum of two pilots he was assigned last minute, due to his cross angel branch training and request to be considered for dual branching between the explorer/Angel branches. His co-pilot was a male Carvior named Uiuter who was a dual-branched angel/merchant. The mission was a simple one drop of some medicine on a nearby world and return with any relevant information on the nature of the disease. The flight in was textbook, the drop-off quick and relatively bureaucracy free, the data transfer was hindered due to the fact the disease was identified at that point so the local medical services saw little reason to share but taking this as chance of having a bonding session at the local bar, they made their way back to the mother ship the next day. It was on the flight back that the complications happened, Flormeer still doesn't quite know what happened and assumes it was some form of spontaneous portal, though likely non mundane in nature but whatever it was the ship had sustained damage in the transfer and they were forced to land in the nearest habitable planet. During the emergency landing, the two pilots underwent the standard procedure for emergency landing on a low-tech world, one teleporting to the surface with a selection of gear with an eye to contact the alliance and long term survival, the other controlling the ship to minimise damage to the locals homes and to reduce that chance of uncontrolled access of dangerous technology. Flormeer, taking this more dangerous mission, successfully landed the ship, though many systems were damaged. The first few years he focused on making the island liveable, looking for evidence of Uiuter, learning the basics of the regional language and repairing the ship's systems. After a while it was clear he wouldn't find anything stuck on the island and his repairs slowed as specialist parts and materials started to be needed, and he started to get bored of the limited variety of emergency crops the ship had available. Creating a human identity from a local show that made him feel connected to home, he flew to the mainland and the city. From there his life entered a simple pattern; he would spend most days working on the island, occasionally coming inland to socialise and increase the variety in his life, rarely traveling to explore and investigate potential aliens. During these trips to the city he slowly and accidentally created an urban legend of a sprite-like creature that helps and protects as his need to help outweighs him needing to minimise interaction. It was after the Silver Storm Event and the finding of Tiger beetle and Valkyrie that made him act more regularly in the city assisting the new heroes, as he increases his search for other alien life

Complications

Motivation Moral:, Flormeer naturally see himself as a good citizen of the allience and as such which to protect and help where he can and his fleet equipment places him in the position that he can protect and help many people.

Human Identity: While used only on occasion when the loneliness of being stuck on a island by himself gets to much or when he must get resources that are hard for the ship to generate for itself he has made number of friends and acquaintances who he would be loathe to come to harm.

Social Alienation: While they have been on earth for at least 10 years, Flormeer is still an alien and a pretty visibly one at that, add in living in isolation for a few years at the start, means that he not sure on some more nuanced human social interaction and is a target for anti-alien targeting

Weird Alien Biology: Flormeer is not human so may have weird reactions to some medications and drugs, the world is not set up to easily accommodate his physical form, his higher calorific needs for his body weight and fact after the first couple of days starves in days the same amount humans would starve in weeks, maybe the fact his flight my not be fully explained by mundane science. Lost Crewmate: As said in backstory during the emergency landing his co-pilot was teleported to earth safely, part of his duty as a Alliance fleet member is to find them, potentially at the expense of other activities

Alliance

Situated a large distance from Earth such that even the fastest ship would take multiple decades to reach Earth and communications taking nearly as long if at all, the Alliance is a grouping of semi-independent worlds that joined together, in the interest of mutual protection from hostile galactic agents and to cooperate in a large number of fronts.

The majority of races in the alliance are human scaled humanoids but many near and non humanoids make up the Alliance, with many component cultures. The Alliance as well as advance science has an awareness of things like magic and psionics but no universal study. The world's making the alliance also have there own history of supers, heroic, aloof and villainous.

Alliance fleet is a joint unit tasked with, protecting the alliance space, exploration, trade, interplanetary relations and other, as such is made out of 7 main branches with massive cross training between them and translated names, the branches are known as Soldier (military and security) oranges, Explorer (Scouting and the sciences) greens, Angels (medical and humanitarian aid) violet/ultraviolet, Merchant (transport, quartermasters and trade) yellows, Diplomat (Diplomacy and outreach) blues, Builders (Engineers and repair) reds and Bureaucrat (administration and decision making) indigo/navy.

Alliance fleet code of ethics: As a member of the alliance fleet is sworn to a code of ethical & professional behaviour, while not including a "True Prime Directive" does include guidelines for the minimisation of harm and non abuse of lower tech worlds and not allowing such behaviours from others.

Carvior

A humanoid species from a mid gravity world, look mostly human with similar skin tones, the only differences are a lack of external ears and extra thumbs on their hands. Mostly average mental ratings, they have a great capacity for attention and focus, though they can fall victim to narrow sightedness and obsessions.
