==Other Magical Girls==
===Akita Misaki===
Misaki is a fellow magical girl, looking a year or two younger than Chouhime, although she doesn't go to school and just might be homeless herself. She seems to know her way around the world of magic, although she's paid the price for it and collected a number of permanent physical changes over the years: she appears to be a life-sized doll, messages in a weird language (which fortunately only seem visible to magical girls) occasionally pop up in the air around her, and she emanates a rather uncomfortable chill. Shortly after Chouhime contracted, Misaki showed up out of the blue and started giving her tips for fighting youma. She seems pretty knowledgeable about it, although she rarely seems to fight them herself.

Boro really doesn't like Misaki for reasons he hasn't explained, and has encouraged Chouhime to get pointers from Ichigo instead.

===Hazuki Akiko===
Akiko has been Sakura's rival for years—the two keep getting put into the same classes, and since they get similar grades and have similar fitness levels, it was only natural to compare themselves to one another. Akiko was the one to start viewing Sakura as a rival, but after months of hearing her self-proclaimed rival gloat every time she one-upped Sakura, their competitions just became a fact of life.

When Sakura contracted and found out that Akiko had done so mere days earlier, it didn't help things one bit.

Akiko got captured by a youkai during a battle in episode 4; her current whereabouts are unknown.

===Kaito Uzuki and Kaito Orie===
A pair of magical girl sisters, 17 and 13 years old, respectively. Uzuki is confident, mature, and a bit overprotective of her sister... which is kind of necessary, since Orie is anxious and shy.

==Family of Magical Girls==
===Hasegawa Ai===
Ran's 13 year old younger sister despairs of Ran's lack of diligence and organisation, and does her best to keep Ran on the straight and narrow, though Ran mostly cheerfully ignores her directives. Ai is the Class Representative of Sakura's class, a role which she takes very seriously, and has earned her both the admiration and the annoyance of her classmates.

===Director Hasegawa===
Ran's Mother. Director Hasegawa is a hard-working woman who fought her way up through the Japanese civil service. Over the years she has become somewhat cynical and bitter over her agency's effectiveness to actually protect children from abuse or neglect. She currently sees training the next generation of parents early on as the best solution to child welfare issues. She has yet to let her job related issues impact her family life, and loves her husband and children with a genuince passion. Ichigo contacted her initially for information that could be used to find other magical girls in the world. Currently Ichigo is trying to get Chouhime enrolled in school under the authority of the agency. Sakura has taken to ambushing her late at night for parenting advice.

===Fujiwara Mikan===
Mikan is Ichigo's younger sister, same age as Laura, and the Italian girl's best friend. With her family's usual sheltered upbringing, she was still treated as a kid at the age of 13, and the fact that in the circus Laura, despite being the same age, was treated like an equal fascinated her, making her nearly idolize the young acrobat. After Laura's terrible accident, Mikan did her best to care for the girl, including pulling some family ropes to settle things with the hospital bills and such. Mikan is aware of both the circumstances behind Laura's recovery and her current double life, but not of her own sister's similar circumstances.


==Friends of Magical Girls==
===Ito Akihiko===
He is a handsome, athletic, loyal, and kind man, not much older than Ichigo from another major family. Unfortunately he is stubborn, proud, gullible and is not amongst the smartest of people. He is also a childhood friend of Takamine Sakura. They still hang out, play boardgames and complain to each other about life. He is the father of Capten, a smart badger like thing, that drinks human blood.

===Kikuchi Nana===
Nana is a girl around Ran's age who was bedridden from birth, thanks to a congenital heart defect. The two shared a hospital room for a few months, and became good friends. While Ran got better with the help of her wish, Nana remains sickly. She hasn't made a big deal about it so far, but it's obvious that the girl is a bit jealous of her friend's one-in-a-million recovery. Loves manga, and her family regularly ship in and out books from her extensive library.

===Kamiya Maraki===
A rather questionable fellow that lives in Chouhime's neighborhood. He makes his living by trading information and makes it his business to know everything about everyone. Chouhime saved him from a Youma one time, and he's been fascinated by the revelation of the magical world ever since. Occasionally he'll do favors for Chouhime in exchange for information about magic.

===Mori Yui===
This 16-year-old girl is a Sukeban of a gang of delinquents that frequent the rough neighborhood where Chouhime lives. Yui fancies herself the protector of her 'subjects', including Chouhime. Chouhime kind of resents Yui, but at the same time appreciates the times the rough girl has helped her fend off less savory ne'er-do-wells.

==Sakura's Children==
===Capten===
The child of Sakura and Akihiko, Capten is a rather smart badger looking creature who adores board games and does not deal with changes to routine well. He seems to live off human blood, and wants to meet his father. 

===Shivers===
A Naga, one of her primary activities is gathering seashells, which is what she was doing when Ran first met her. She has quite a collection, which nobody is allowed to see, even her friend Ran. Shivers is otherwise good humoured, though she has no tact when other people's idiocy (as she sees it) causes trouble for her.

Nanami was a Youma with ice-based powers who got killed by Laura in the Warehouse battle in Episode 1.

Shiori was a Youma with a shadow-based powers who got killed by Chouhime in the Warehouse battle in Episode 1.
===Shizuka, who triumphed over poison's bite===
Shizuka is a 16-year-old fairly powerful youma with poison-based powers, a massive chip on her shoulder, and a addiction to smoking weird reeds. She was captured by Ichigo, Sakura and Akiko in the Episode 2, and is currently Sakura's half-willing prisoner.
===Yuu, who knew only ashes===
A Midori's henchman with Fire-based powers. Currently under Ichigo's care.
===Yukimi, who survived madness' bedlam===
A Midori's henchman with sound-based powers and the gift of omniscience. Currently under Ichigo's care.
===Midori, who flourished under the Sun's wrath===
A leader of the trio of Youma, who assaulted Akihiko in Episode 3 as a move against Ichigo. Desperate to avoid capture, she committed suicide.
