Farrad Garstalson[edit]

Farrad Garstalson was born a Tarshite or Sartarite farmer. Grew up knowing and loving the land, and clearly gifted in such skills and arts. He was given a new area to recover from wilderness and prepare for planting, and poured his heart and soul into it. Clearing bushes, stones etc. Planting the right fallow plants and herbs that would prepare the soil for growing crops, and it looked to be a plot blessed by Barntar and Ernalda both. Everyone expected him to dedicate to Barntar and become the local Barntar godi, and be a blessing to the local clans for years to come.

Then his childhood sweetheart, Rana was named Harvest Queen. Farrad was local champion and competed with others from the area in a series of challenges. He lost, to a complete stranger.

The plot of now-fertile farmland was given to them as a wedding gift.

Over the next year the clan suffered a poor harvest, disease, and children and animals were born deformed. Obsessed over the loss of Rana, Farrad started following the couple, hiding his rattling cough that would not heal, until his old love went missing. Farrad hunted high and low for her, eventually digging up the field he had invested so much passion into. It was almost a year to the day of the contest when Farrad discovered the clothes and effects of his sweetheart, Rana, buried in a corner of the field, along with burnt and broken bones. Farrad snuck to her home that night and discovered what had happened to her, along with some vagrants and peddlars that had vanished over the year - His sweethearts husband and family were Ogres, dining on the corpses of humans!

When the red mist cleared, a new initiate of Storm Bull was born, complete with physical pain and traumatic memory ready for Sense Chaos to trigger the recall of.
