  • Background Mogr was a monastic whose homeland was struck by a plague of supernatural virulence and lethality. He volunteered to be walled up in a cell to pray for deliverance in a state of fast. After three weeks he could no longer hear the ritual drumbeats, and assumed his brothers had fallen to the plague. But Mogr had concealed a pick under his cot along with water and food, and when he dug his way out he found there was no one left alive to infect him.

He has traveled far to leave behind his empty homeland.
