Principalities are thematic groups of knowledge. Each Principality is rated one through five. Higher levels unlock new Aspects (discrete powers) and Benefits (Colony/Servant abilities). Buying a Principality linked to your Caste is cheaper than buying one outside.

List of Principalities

Blades

Martial, melee power. Engage foes up close, rend and crush them with your might. Favored by Marshals.

Bows

Long-distance power. Strike enemies from afar, leverage distance to your advantaged. Favored by Marshals and Shades.

Censers

Vapors. Manipulate and change the very air, begetting pleasure or pain. Favored by Scribes and Shades.

Chalices

Elixirs. Create potions and poisons to mend and maim. Favored by Shades and Stewards.

Cloaks

Gravity. Flee, fly, and otherwise flout the laws of phsycis. Favored by Diplomats and Shades.

Crowns

Manipulation. Allow others to see your authority and sway the masses with honeyed words. Favored by Diplomats.

Crucibles

Alchemy. Change one substance into another through arcane chemistry to suit your ends. Favored by Scribes.

Hammers

Creation. Shape the world and everything in it by tool, hand, and claw. Favored by Stewards.

Quills

Messages. Converse with others, spoken and unspoken. Favored by Diplomats and Scribes.

Records

Time. Speed it up, slow it down, manipulate it to the fullest. Favored by Diplomats and Stewards.

Scepters

Control. Dominate, convert, and subvert the will of your enemies. Favored by Diplomats and Marshals.

Sheilds

Protection. Ward yourself and others, grow thick carapaces and endure sieges through fortification and fortitude. Favored by Marshals and Stewards.

Spheres

Divination. View things from afar, and discover information impossible to know. Favored by Marshals and Scribes.

Staves

Space. Manipulate locations for a short time to suit your ends. Favored by Scribes and .
