===Examples===

Some challenges are:

*Fighting a group of bandits

*Safely navigating through a dangerous forest

*Convincing the king to attack the neighbor kingdom

*Reading a thousand-year-old book written in archaic language

===Categories===

While there's infinitely many possible challenges, it's possible to group them in a few families.

*Combat

*Adventure

*Social

*Intellectual

These families cover the most common challenges in fantasy RPG, and are covered in most game systems, although different systems focus on different categories. Many systems focus on Combat, having extensive rules for Damage, Cover, Weapon Types and Initiative Rolls. In Mouse Guard RPG, the PCs are little mice, and their main antagonist is the nature itself. The system focus in Adventure, having rules for Boatcrafting, Weather Watching, Hunting and Pathfinding. To obey The Rule of Generality (G4), nys allows every kind of challenge, and according to G2, the rules for describing and overcoming these obstacles are as simple as possible.
