"Blood Evidence | DOOMCLOCK, part II"
June 20, 2007. GM: KEVIN
Last Shift...:
1:36 a.m., "Goats Gruff Bridge" (aka. Airport Rd. Bridge)
After defeating "Satan's Car", Detective ??? discovers the car's truck is full of some sort of ritual materials - finger bones... some ancient, some modern as within the last couple days, and some very strangely - not of human make - but of some sort of demon/monster! Detective ??? sends his insect host into the pile of knuckles, skin and nails to come out with some interesting evidence... a Silver Signet Ring of old world style (possibly Turkish, Romanian or Armenian). The group then follows the scene witnesses (bums and hobos beneath the bridge) down the railroad tracks and beneath a river tressle hostel, north toward inner Rust City. Only to encounter a group of vampires (a sect of the Nation of Bloodless one might wonder??) who had plans to feed off of the bums in celebration of their migration to Rust City. Detective ??? notices the strange resemblence of these 'creature's' finger shapes... very similar to the bone fingers found in the trunk of "Satan's Car"!
Meanwhile, back at the bridge, the mysterious 'Doom Clock' appears, glowing on the bottom of Satan's Car.

The blood-suckers give up that there is some elder vampire that is involved with the possessed car. Mr. ?? deduces that this sect of the Nation has actually come in search of their pregenitor - the old world vampiric master Vlad Ţepeş...

aka. Vlad III the Impaler (Ţepeş)
aka. Vlad Dracul
aka. Vlad Drăculea
aka. Kazıklı Bey (kɑzɨkˈɫɨ | Impaler Prince) [Turkish]
aka. Alucard
aka. Nosferatu
aka. Son of the Dragon
aka. Dracul (the Devil)
A good description of Vlad Dracula survives courtesy of Nicholas of Modrussa, who wrote:
He was not very tall, but very stocky and strong, with a cruel and terrible appearance, a long straight nose, distended nostrils, a thin and reddish face in which the large wide-open green eyes were enframed by bushy black eyebrows, which made them appear threatening. His face and chin were shaven but for a moustache. The swollen temples increased the bulk of his head. A bull's neck supported the head, from which black curly locks were falling to his wide-shouldered person.

This Dracul becomes an instant 'prime suspect' in the vics (victums) in Doc Spooky's morgue (the Mayor's Son & as yet an unknown). A dozen or so blood-suckers appear in goth cloaks, floating just above the train tressle. They try to make a deal, explaining that it's the Armenians who they've come for. Searchin' for their 'Don' (Ţepeş) whom the Armenian Mob has taken captive for some reason... The dirty vamps throw one of the bums off of the bridge to cement the deal - giving the Graveyarders intel in exchange for the Silver Signet Ring of the Son of the Dragon. Doc Spooky dives after the poor blood-sucked man, and the vampires all run for it - taking the silver signet ring. But not before Detectives ?? get the drop on the top dog of this gang - he surrenders and is taken into custody.

"Car Troubles | DOOMCLOCK, part I"
June 13, 2007. GM: KEVIN
On the first Shift...:
12:42 a.m., "Goats Gruff Bridge" (aka. Airport Rd. Bridge)
We begin "In Media Res" atop "Goats Gruff Bridge" (aka. Airport Rd. Bridge) multiple car pileup with the bridge afire! As the Detectives arrive on-scene a car teeters on the edge while others burn and a pregnant mother screams! Before leaping into action the Graveyarders see a suspicious looking vehicle speeding toward the bridgeway. When this "Satan Car" slams into their sedan it hurtles off the bridge as a massive beast-man appears at the opposite end. What becomes known as the Bridge Troll (aka. Horrance, aka. Horry, aka. Safety Yeti) comes to aid in his so very English Troll ways...
But "Satan's Car" continues it's evil, projecting it's headlamps and transforming bystanders into tommy-gun toting automatons for evil. The case is closed (for now) when the Graveyarders turn the demon car on it's top while Doc Spooky delivers the brother of Christine (the little girl of the pregnant mother rescued from the teatering car).

Going back in time,
9:03 p.m., The House (aka. Precinct 1, aka. Moretti’s mansion, aka. The Rust City Central Police Complex) the Chief clues everyone in on the duty of this "Graveyard Shift". The mayor's cracking down, his son's been killed and crime is rampent. Weird crap is happening... You flatfeet are gonna fix it.
BUT THEN, the squad rolls for a 187 (Murder) downtown, in the Business Park District. This murder called for special investigators. Arriving to see a strange "DOOM CLOCK" on the side of the highrise with the face of a six fingered hand, this was more than murder - it was murder most foul!!
