The Operative of Parliament, dubbed Otto, or the Swordsman by the crew is apparently a clone from the same genetic stock as [[Arden 689-C | Arden]]. However, the Operative is not a typical person from [[Sophie | Erehwon]]. He is an Operative and so has lost his identity in loyalty to the Alliance. The Operative does not seem to have an unswerving loyalty to Parliament and the Alliance as it is so constituted however. He seems, though he speaks in riddles, to value some idealized version of the Alliance, or something like that. <br>
