There is a need for many things in Amber. Budgeting for luxuries in Amber is an ancient tradition. House Roseque has prospered in times of peace and war by serving the needs for luxuries.

History

House Roseque arrived in Amber with Queen Dybele. They come from her home world, Ositrios, but like many of Dybele's people they refused to speak of her home world.

Peculiar Geography

Several diplomatic missions visited Ositrios in the three years of Dybele's reign. After her death shadow walkers other then natives could not find the world.

Magic

There was very little investigation into the magic of the realm while Dybele was Queen of Amber. What is known is that there is a high order construct in Ositrios and some portion of the population of population are able to assay it. It goes by many names and none were shared. Dybele, when essentially forced, called the Sigil of Roseque The Restful Place.

One image of it was drawn by Brand, who attended Queen Dyebel home for one of her healing sessions. Brand said he saw it for less then a minute before Dybele walked into it and diappeared. Her people ushered him out . She returned 8 hours later in complete health and remained that way got almost a year before she became sick again. This time she did not attempt a return to Ositrios. Soon she passed away, leaving the child Florimel with Oberon.

Powers

Clearly this information is unknown to the PCs. So using it is Player knowledge only.

Basic Imprint

  • 20 Basic Restful Place imprint. The whole non-mote device can be walked to gain basic abilities.
    • Shadowwalk in certain types of shadows to reach a destination.
    • Sleep and recover from any level of exhaustion.
    • Read and understand and memorize up to an armful of book. Number in an armful depends on strength.
    • Stop bleeding upon stepping onto the Sigil, sleep for a few hours before waking.
    • Sleep and remember anyplace in ones past. Sleep lasts 3 or so hours depending on psyche.
  • 5 Each for the Positional Motes.
  • 2 for Sleep. Most acolytes take Sleep first. This gives them a chance to learn the other powers of the Motes.
  • Must have full shape-change or be of the bloodline of Resala of Ositrios.
  • There are 6 Positional Motes.
    • Sleeps
    • Dreaming
    • Healing
    • Recovery
    • Filling
    • Recreation
  • To assay the Sigil one must be of the Resala of Ositrios or have full Shapechange.
  • Most acolytes will have a chosen Mote to study. Many also gain a second or third Mote but rarely go on to advanced with them.
Advanced Imprint
  • 30 Advance Imprint
  • Additional 3 pips for each chosen Mote.
  • Most Acolytes reaching this level will choose a certain mote to specialize in.
Master Imprint

40 Master Imprint

  • Additional 2 pips for each chosen Mote.
Prime Imprint

60 Prime Imprint

  • Additional 5 pips for each chosen Mote.
