Velis Vuls the Face: A rogue, by every definition, following his motto “If you have to play, come with a full hand. If you can avoid the hand, don’t sit at the table.”

Skills: Stealth, Bartering, Bluffing, Diplomacy, Small Arms, Melee Weapons Occupation: Information and Face Man Drawbacks: He is easily enticed by loot and supplies. He wants to be more courageous, as his natural instinct is to flee but he is now among family.

Childhood Events: The last of the siblings to leave, he left to make a trade with the nearest community. This being far away, he prepared like we was leaving for weeks. Having an uneventful trip, he arrives at the community and begins looking to trade with others.

Initiation Event: Being a clever person, he learns the bartering system within and begins to use it to collect a massive amount of resources. His con continues for some time and soon Velis forgets why he was sent here in the first place.

Trail Event: During his first few days within the community, he has collected some supplies and learned some of the rules of the community. During this time he finds a stray Dog who was rummaging through his newly acquired supplies. Finding a friend in this dog, he feeds it, cares for it and eventually gives it a name, Tyan the Wolf.

Conflict Event: After his con comes to a head, he has made a few enemies who come together to take everything he has. While this is frowned upon in the community, there is nothing they can do about it. With just enough warning from his Dog companion, Tyan, he is able to flee the community. Velis has left much of his collected resources under lock and key within the community but he probably won’t be able to get to it without significant help. As he makes camp that night he sees the first flowers bloom and remembers the promises and with renewed vigor, makes his way to him family home.

Relations between PC characters: Among the siblings, he is the face of the operation. But being the youngest, he is often outvoted by the cautiousness of the other two.

PC:

Outside Connections: The Greedy Snake Oil Salesman: The easily Jealous Merchant who thinks himself a community leader. After seeing how Velis has circumvented his own sales, he hires some people to teach Velis a lesson about playing outside the rules.

The Hired Help: A strong and independent scavenger, who is caught off guard by Velis’s charming personality. After Velis short changes him in an exchange by creatively bartering, the Hired Help has a personal vendetta against Velis.

Tyan the Savage Survivor: A dog who has gone his life without others caring about him, has become fiercely loyal to Velis during their travels.
