Petra is the daughter of a Thyatian soldier who came to Karameikos as part of Duke Stefan's army, then retired and settled down. Her mother is a native Traladaran. Growing up, Petra absorbed her father's tales of travel and adventure, and she wants to follow in his footsteps. When she came of age, she approached her parents and asked to be Sheared.
