The Whisperer employed a Chinese man, Yongjie, as his personal driver. This man would later on assume the identity of the [[#Mist| Mist]]. Though fighting all crime bosses, Carter had a bitter enmity towards [[#Lo Pan| Lo Pan]], an Asian crimelord. The Whisperer's last appeared on December 1st, 1949, one day after his final confrontation with his Asian nemesis.
