High Concept: Paragon of House Ziegler

Prince Huron is a Knight Eminent, Armsmaster, and Marshall of the Silvering Hosts, the knightly orders of House Ziegler. He has held these titles for over a century, leading hosts of Ziegler knights upon many campaigns both within Nibiru and throughout a number of Gossamer worlds. His reputation proceeds him, amoungst those of sufficient experience or stature.

  • Invoke: For prowess and puissance of arms and combat of any sort, to conduct battle and lead others in war, to evaluate enemy combatants, to draw upon allies or contacts within the knights of House Ziegler, or to garner obedience from lesser ranks of the same.
  • Compel: To draw powerful enemies or rivals to target him in battle, when enemies or rivals seek to undermine him or House Ziegler off the battlefield, when burned by the demands and duties of his station, to act in chivalrous ways even at great risk to himself.

Trouble: The Gloaming Fate

All things will pass, and for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, this is the law of creation. The balance may be addressed sooner, or perhaps much later. But it will come. Eidolon and Umbra in everlasting sympathetic vibration. Where the Eidolon creates, Umbra destroys. Where Eidolon destroys, Umbra creates. Prince Huron knows this truth all too well, sometimes reading the signs afar in place or time, sometimes discerning the imminence and nature of Cosmic redress more clearly and directly, through premonition, omen, or, for the most imminent manifestations of Cosmic Fate, within the very Gossamer fabric about him.

  • Invoke: To discern the presence or attention of Umbral energies or entities acting against him or his, interfering with his purposes, sensing such by premonition or omen if said agencies are non-local, and discerning more about said agencies, intentions, or events the nearer and more immenient they are.
  • Compel: To draw unfriendly attention from Umbral energies or beings when he employs the Eidolon, to undermine his use of Eidolon due to counter-acting Umbral energies or beings of greater power, to have Cosmic Fate throw a metaphorical wrench into any plans or actions when the balance is in his favour.

Eidolon Mastery: The Pattern of Penultimate Truth

The pattern of the Eidolon underlies and permeates all of Gossamer, for all things both seen and unseen. Truth may always be found within it, and the Eidolon is within all things.

  • Invoke: To manifest the powers of Eidolon according to his will and design with great effect, to discern the truth of something when hidden by a lie (whether spoken or implied through action, e.g. something or someone hidden).
  • Compel: To reveal the truth of something when it is not convenient, to reveal something disadvantageous about his intentions or purposes to an adversary when he manifests the power of the Eidolon.

Wrighting: Erudite Savant of the Gossamer Web

The Gossamer fabric speaks to Prince Huron, and the resonances of Eidolon and Umbra lap upon the shores of his thought, both harmony and discord in endless music and veiled dance. Art can only be known in seeing. Music can only be known in listening. Knowledge is power.

  • Invoke: To manifest the powers of Wrighting with great efficacy or speed, to produce an effective Icon under less than ideal circumstances (e.g. only a glimpse or description of a subject), to have an Icon prepared when needed, assuming that this would be plausible and reasonable (e.g. for someone obvious like a family member or longtime associate, or if there was downtime or transition time before a scene that would have given ample opportunity to produce an Icon, and this can be reasonably justified in the narrative after the fact), to declare a fact about the Gossamer worlds and have it be truth.
  • Compel: To miss the trees for the forest in some sense (e.g. to be so focused on the big cosmic picture that he passes over some immediate local detail, or comparatively mundane concern), to have less effective interactions somehow by being too erudite when speaking of Gossamer matters (e.g. being incomprehensible to someone and therefore misunderstood).

Empathy: The Interminable Bloom of the Manifold Thought

Mind is the interfacial surface tension of Eidolon and Umbra manifesting in the Gossamer fabric. Prince Huron discernes and employs the unfolding waves of the mind with substantial skill and artistry.

  • Invoke: To manifest the powers of Empathy with great puissance and subtlety, to reveal less about his own mind than he gleans from another's.
  • Compel: To draw undesired attention from other Empathic beings - or reveal his presence at a greater distance - when he employs Empathy, to reveal more of his thoughts than desired over an empathic link with someone who is greater in Psyche.
