Qisstan’goth Prime, a Mid Rim world not far off of the Rimma Trade Route, is a arid, desert world. There are eleven planets in the Qisstan’goth System, with Prime being in the 3rd orbit from the large yellow-red sun.

Qisstan’goth Prime is a rich in mineral wealth, especially heavy metals such as titanium-chromium compound, an important element in hyper-drive technology. It was discovered by Republic Explorers 100 years ago although mining production did not start until some 30 years ago when a extremely rich strike was found by an small mining outfit (that was then bought out by Czerka Corp).

The planet is a typical desert world, with small oceans found only at the north and south poles, but there are large underground water found especially within the mountainous regions of the planet. Most of the mountains and deep valleys of the planet are found in the equator region, with the deep desert dunes and rocky badlands found in the northern and southern regions. Almost all of the mining takes place in this mountainous region.

The native species, the Qisstin, are a cold-blooded reptilian race that has retained many of the primate tribal customs, but whom have also embraced most of the Republics technology with little culture shock. Most the Qisstin live out northern and southern hemispheres deep deserts. They generally view the mountains as a no-mans land, and avoid them for the most part.

Man and women of the tribes share all duties, and the females can give birth to a little of eggs of up to a dozen even three or four years. Children are raise by the tribe, not individual parents, and the people are fairly peaceful between themselves.

The Qisstin have taken to the superior technology of the Republic and now more tribes men are armed with blasters and the tribes travel on speeders as much as the local Quad-Beast (very similar to a Dewback[1]).

The Quad-Beast is the main Qisstin’s food source out in the deserts and is considered something of a sacred animal for the natives. They are herbivores but can be provided to stapled or attacking around loud noise, etc.

Czerka Corporation had exclusive rights to mining the planets resources for 15 years but it was not renewed and now the Independent Mining Consortium also has a great many independent miners and outfits operating here. Czerka was not happy about this, but as far as anyone knows they have abided by this and continue to operate their central mining city of Thatchin’.

The planetary capital of Landing (if it can be called a capital at all) is still wholly owned by Czerka Corp, and is the location of the only spaceport where large bulk freighters can land safely on the planet. This does cause some tension with the independent miners, whom often have to pay heavy fees to land here.

Most of the trouble between the natives and the mining interests seems to be over the fact that Czerka mining in a sacred range of mountains in the south that the natives claim as sacred. The original mining deals worked out with the Republic and the natives over mining allowed them rights in the central mountain region only, but Czerka has claimed rights planet wide and using various legal maneuvers in the Republic Courts to block any official protection.

Czerka and the independent miners claim that the natives have started attacking all mining operations, not just those in the disputed regions. One group in particular, calling themselves the ‘Pure’, wishes all non-Qisstin to leave the planet at once. They have killed numerous independent miners and have blown a couple of starships at Landing.

This then lead the to the Hutt at Paradise City, one Popottus the Hutt, offering a bounty on Quad-Beast skulls and beating on races over the open desert where the Qisstin live.

Master Vrook’s task then it to try and stop the violence between the Qisstin and the miners and the put a stop to the trophy hunting and racing that the Hutt back.
