It was a bitterly cold winter night, the coldest in years, when a newborn baby girl was found abandoned the door of an orphanage, on a day, celebrated thousands of years ago by the pagan Germanic folk as ‘Yuletide’. Although not wrapped against the cold, the infant did not appear to feel the chill temperatures.
Named Roberta Rasmussen, the surname being that of one of the orphanages benefactors, Bobbie grew up in the orphanage until the age of 10.
