Lifepath

WILD ROSE (Key of Something Different): Roger Gothic was an ordinary chef. Then one day Iolithae Septimian told him that he had no flesh, no blood, no organs, and it was so. But she forgot to mention bones, and so left a skeleton Roger Gothic became the Power of Bones and at once made her jaw stay shut, so she could never speak.

Heart (My Nature)

  • Transformed by Iolithae Septimian
  • Living skeleton

Shadow (My Struggles)

  • Self-doubt
  • Trying to fit in
  • Traumatic experience

OAK (Key of Something That Hasn’t Changed): Roger has fallen back on his occupation, his expertise and good nature as a fulcrum, a balance point to hold him steady. It makes him seem like something of a rock, though inside he isn’t so sure.

Heart (My Identity)

  • Chef
  • I was 'big boned', not fat
  • Middle-aged
  • Epicurean

Shadow (Crisis)

  • A peck of students
  • Hell says 'eat up'

More than Anything Else You Are... Just Plain Weird: See what I said before. Roger is a living skeleton now. He sees without eyes, hears without ears. He certainly eats and drinks. Don’t ask if he has to go to the bathroom - he probably doesn’t but he won’t dignify that with an answer.

Your Estate is From the... Beautiful Side of the World: Bones are a perfectly natural part of life. Of course, for it to become the all of your existence - at the hands of a Deceiver is normally fatal in one regard or another. Had Roger not become a Noble, his mind would have succumbed to dementia animus even if his body had somehow endured in prosaic reality. The memory of his encounter with Iolithae is… painful.

Your Estate is... Something You Can Point To: Roger’s bone structure reflects what he was in flesh, tall… well, expansive is the best word. Solid, but still full of line.

You Lived a... Humble Life: Roger was an executive chef for a nice restaurant, but it’s not like he was a Food Network celebrity. He made it through much of his life approaching 60, divorced once. He loved, but some loves are stronger than romance, a man set in his ways. Even without skin or a balding head, Roger Gothic projects age and experience.

Love for the Ordinary: Roger is a guy for pleasure and enjoyment. Food, wine, music, women (when he was younger). But it's not about vulgar excess like hedonism. Happiness, really. Class and elegance.

Contacts - Disciples: Inevitably, a master chef attracts those wishing to learn. Of course, Roger’s students include those searching for more mentorship than culinary lessons. Roger doesn’t want to say no, but is he qualified when he’s still not fully comfortable in his (lack of) skin?

What is Your Affiliation?: The Song of Hell: Roger might have been Light if it weren't for the fact that they'd trade away all that and are pure humans only. As a skeleton that's a sticking point. Ultimately, Roger is found of sensual things and more than willing to give gluttony its leeway. It happens when you’ve cooked a five course meal with dragon steaks and a holy nectar gravy.
