Description
Flying Priest, Seven Resounding Thunders or otherwise simply Seven Thunders. A traveling monk with a storied past barely remembered now, Seven Thunders is an aged Kitsune with dull orange fur turning to grey especially around their muzzle. Small and with a friendly face Seven Thunders wanders the paths of empire cutting back brush and helping to maintain the roads. In this they are able to maintain the balance between wild and civilization.

Seven Thunders is not the only Flying Priest but their passage is shared by others with the characteristic jangling of the shakujō or ‘pewter staff’. Smaller to fit the Kitsune’s height it is grey with a brass pointed top and two side loops each containing three rings a piece.

Seven Thunders wears an assortment of white, teal, and orange layered robes that flow about their little body but never get in the way. Seven Thunders seems to wear an implacable smile and squinty half-lidded eyes that very, very barely reveal pools of molten yellow. Fixed atop their head by a sea foam green cord is an aged human skull. Unnerving to humans the little priest is always quite reassuring that he doesn’t need another.

With a Kitsune’s talents his family have been traveling entertainers putting on puppet shows for villages and rarely in the past entertaining for House events. Together making puppets fly and dance and sing, small illusory storms and clashing of battles. A trickster even in their later years Seven Thunders is not about a practical joke, “While our minds and bodies age and fade, a good laugh rings true across time.” Oft times it is only Seven Thunders doing the laughing at someone else’s expense…

The unassuming priest is quite often overlooked or underestimated; looks can be deceiving however. Seven Thunders’ voice is, well theirs is a way of speech that seems to roll or linger in the ear, honeyed and sweet, but at other times commanding with an otherworldly force behind it. Their eyes as well, most would assume the small older fox to be sleeping or at least not paying attention but if they would look closer they could see the scanning and calculating of those same eyes. At once both serene and severe.
