Each character starts play with the Power: Mind Link that they can use at will for no cost. The Link only works with other PCs or Gifted NPCs. PCs always feel the potential for a Mind Link provided they are within the power's base range of the target. IOW, PCs can sense NPC Gifted who come close enough.

Each character starts with the Arcane Skill: Focus [Vigor] at d4. This skill can be advanced by the same rules as your other starting skills using the same pool of points as your other skills.

Each character starts with one power chosen from the following list of Seasoned rank powers: Blast, Disguise, Farsight, Invisibility, Object Reading, Slumber, Telekinesis, Warrior's Gift

(Note: Once a player has chosen one of these powers for their character, no other players may select that power for their character).

Players who wish to gain more powers can purchase the Edge: New Powers and select two powers from the following list of Novice Powers: Bolt, Burst, Darksight, Deflection, Detect/Conceal Arcana, Elemental Manipulation, Environmental Protection, Fear, Light/Darkness, Protection, Smite, Sound/Silence, Speak Language, Stun
