==Backstory==
Kid Gizmo, from....well, it was supposed to be his eponymous video game, where he'd work his way through half a dozen stages, using various items he found to disable traps, explore new areas, combine items to create something entirely new, and rescue his friends from the Montessi Gang; where a player's creativity and intelligence would matter more than fast reflexes!

Of course, the technology wasn't quite at the point to make that sort of gameplay feasible yet, and everyone knew that side-scrolling beat-em-ups were where the real money was. So he got replaced in his own game by a couple of punch-happy jocks, turned into the item shop jockey. Such is the life of an 8-bit character....
