Skill Lists for Game Designers
This comprehensive list of skills is designed to help prospective game designers to quickly frame up skills and abilities for their games, or see what has come before if they are trying to create something unique. The compiling of this list was done by Velexia Ombra.
A Note on How the Skills are Organized
Skills are listed alphabetically by category, to make them easy to find if you know what kind of task you are looking for. Overlapping skills (skills that have the same function, but a different name) are listed alphabetically in parenthesis after the list entry. In places where a skill falls into multiple categories, each usage has a separate entry and definition. Each skill then has two tags associated with it; a usage tag, and a typical genre tag.
