==== Background ====

Orifushi Mafuyu is a shy and quiet girl who gets sick often. Mafuyu lives with her sister Orifushi Minatsu and her mother Orifushi Suzuran. Minatsu’s and Mafuyu’s geijin father, David Seyfried went back to…whatever foreign country he came from a while ago. Suzuran has a job, and she brings back just enough money to pay for the rent and the school. The Orifushi family, however, is not a tight one, mostly due to the fact that Suzuran is not very fond of Mafuyu. It's not like Suzuran beats Mafuyu - not too often, anyway - but more like she doesn't care, probably because Mafuyu's geijin appearance reminds Suzuran of the man who abandoned her. Mafuyu's sister, Minatsu, do care about Mafuyu, but Minatsu is simple-minded and straightforward, and usually can't fathom what's wrong between her little sister and her mother.

Mafuyu inherited her striking look from her attractive geijin father. She has dolly blue eyes and creamy white skin not commonly seen on Japanese girls, and she ties a giant ribbon on top of her long, platinum blonde hair. All these exotic appearance traits combined with a meek personality make Mafuyu incredibly popular among boys. Unbeknown to most Mafuyu fans, however, is the fact that she’s a serious case of video game junkie. Gal games, FPS, MMO, you name it, and she plays it. Being a hardcore player like Mafuyu isn’t cheep, though. Surely Mafuyu couldn’t have afford everything with the little pocket money their mother give them…

The truth is, Suzuran has a lot of boyfriends, and not all of them are nice people. In fact, most of them range from chauvinistic bustards to downright thugs. Suzuran is just not good at choosing men. As things happened, one of Suzuran’s boyfriends took particular interest in the dolly-looking Mafuyu…and forced himself on her. Over and over again. The man gives Mafuyu money every time he's finished with her, intended to seal her mouth, which really wasn't necessary - Mafuyu was too scared and ashamed to say anything to anyone anyway. With the money she got, however, Mafuyu addicted herself with video games. In the world of video games, with sufficient skill, brain and practice, she can be strong. She doesn’t have to be the voiceless victim, doesn’t have to be someone else’s toy. In order to pay for her rather expensive interest, however, Mafuyu start to do “compensational date” through her blog and chat rooms, under the name “Chloe Seyfried”. Essentially, Mafiyu is paying for her hobby by prostitution. Given Mafuyu’s exotic and striking appearance, attracting clients is easy. Besides, it’s not like her clients can make her dirtier than she already is. The man was using her as a whore a long time ago...

Takata Natsumi: Mafuyu hates her. Natsumi was born with everything Mafuyu had to literally work her pants off for. Mafuyu’d have slapped her in the face, given the chance.

Hikugawa-sensei: One time, Mafuyu showed up for a client and got assaulted by drunks, Hideo (also drunk) interfered, Mafuyu was grateful...he woke up next to a naked high-school girl...he realized that she's a student...

Mitsuwa-sensei: Due to Mafuyu’s sidejob, she does get hurt from time to time. She can’t let her family know about it and she don’t want to pay for hospital, so she goes to nurses office instead.
