Initiative

  • Initiative rolls are treated as Opposed for the purposes of Joss and the River.
    • Malicious Joss counts as Xia Joss for Initiative; i.e. it increases your Lake by 1 rather than diminishing your opponents' Lakes.

Marvels

  • Marvels can only be resisted by a Skill (or, at the Sage's discretion, by an improvised use of Chi).
  • The difficulty of recovering from a Disrupt or Disorient Marvel is a function of the the degree to which the marvel exceeded the defense roll, according to the following chart:
