Starting a format for placing new ideas and rules for consideration by the author.

Brainstorms

Easy Potable Book Mechanics

Flip Page "Roll"

50/50 coin flip type mechanic where the reader flips/leafs through the corner of the book and randomly stops. Then the reader would check to see if the page number is even or odd.

Attributes

  1. Vigor (Strength and Health )
  2. Grace (Agility and Dexterity)
  3. Perception Vs. Cunning (understanding the world around you 5 sense Perception and Intelligence in one)
  4. Magic Vs. Energy (Magic, Mystical spirit powers, Chi, Mental powers, Sci-Fi "force" powers, all rolled into ____Energy you set type at character creation based on setting)
  5. Mental Vs. Cunning if we are trying for a short easy attribute list (IQ and Education could be part of cunning)

New list would be:

  1. Vigor (Strength, Health, Physical resistance, Melee accuracy/capability)-(Body)
  2. Grace (Agility, Dexterity, Ranged accuracy/capability)-(Body)
  3. Cunning (Perception, street smarts, and application of skills/learning)-(Mind)
  • Mental (Intelligence and Knowledge)-(Mind)
  1. Energy (any type based on setting)-(Spirit/Other)

Food for thought

In the game I am making this is the attribute list I came up with.

Body uses the Stats: Strength, Agility, and Endurance.

Mind uses the Stats: Intelligence, Cunning, and Willpower.

Spirit uses the Stats: Power, Manipulation, and Essence.
