Artifact: Makashi's Most Fearsome Armor Of The Fire Dragon is a precious treasure from the early Shogunate, one of the dragon armor suits built with self-repair abilities and an Essence batteries for the suit's functions. Unfortunately, its elemental lens is missing, cannibalized for other projects. It still remains a potent piece of hardware, however. In addition, it came with a pair of hearthstone bracers and a skin-mount setting.

His Foe-Cleaving Halberd, "Long Arm of Righteousness", was originally the personal weapon of his father. He would have received it upon being accepted to the House of Bells, but the altercation with Niman meant that it went to Makashi's brother Soresu instead. Makashi used a jade grand daiklave called "Sky Scorcher" instead, at least until he lost it in the North. On the ship back, he was presented with Long Arm of Righteousness, and a solemn report that the Vergus Legion had fallen to Anathema sorcery, along with all its senior officers.

Makashi always wanted to wield Long Arm of Righteousness.

He does now.

Resources:Makashi was originally much wealthier; however, he took it upon himself to pay for the funeral expenses of every man who died under his command. In addition, his stipend was slashed severely to support the ailing House, which left him with a pittance in income. Fortunately, his investments in the South were intact, and he still has a modicum of money to draw on.

Sterile: During his days in the House of Bells, Makashi got incredibly drunk, flashed a few hundred obols, and drunkenly bragged that he would "bang every single girl in the house". He never stopped to ask himself exactly what was in that tea they served him each time he had a girl, and the next day, he wrote the pain in his groin off to too much exertion the night before.

What he doesn't know is that they were serving him Maiden Flower Tea... and he'd overdosed himself into infertility with well over a dozen doses of the beverage.

Enemy: Makashi still doesn't want to admit it, but Autumn Rain, his childhood sweetheart, is now a Solar Anathema, one of the Forsaken, and one of the Bull's lackeys who crushed his family's legions. He still looks at her picture and sighs sometimes.

Then he goes out and practices with Long Arm Of Righteousness until he's too tired to think of her.

Rival: Niman, Rain's snotty little brother, still has a hate on for Makashi ever since the latter nearly killed him in a fit of rage. Niman flunked out of the House of Bells for excessive cowardice, and is now a moderately influential financier in one of his family's banking enterprises. He still tries to send a few assassins Makashi's way every now and then, and the only thing keeping Makashi from twisting the little shit's head off is the heat he'd call down on himself and his family if he ever did anything overt.

Dark Secret:Between the fact that he's infertile and did the nasty with an Anathema the night before she killed all 500 of his men, Makashi is going to be in a world of shit if anyone finds out about him.
